Nami is a great new sushi choice in the old ‘two guys’ location on Roper street in White Rock. The menu includes sushi, don buri, noodles and bento options (see my pics). We had the don buri bowls with teriyaki chicken and beef (inc miso soup and tea) for lunch and ordered some special sushi rolls for supper, all for under 74 dollars before tip. Pictured clockwise are deep fried dynamite roll, Washington roll, crispy crunch roll and veggie spring rolls. Our don buri bowls were generously portioned, as we only ate half we took the rest home for lunch the following day. Even though we ate the sushi cold several hours later it was still very tasty, the crispy crunch roll was topped with lots of yummy spicy flakes and breaded baby shrimp, I want to order it again and eat it while still warm! The taste overall was appetizing and fresh tasting. The waitress is super friendly and the kitchen’s has a very efficient turnaround time given the restaurant was three quarters full on a Wednesday at lunchtime. The visual presentation of the dishes we saw being delivered to other tables made everything look appealing so we had a hard time choosing. We plan to go again soon as a group so we can check out more of what’s on their menu. They offer take out and delivery through the popular online delivery apps. A PDF of the pictured menu and online reservations are available on their website. I suggest reservations for a group larger than four as dining area is limited. Update: we went back as a group of 4 today for 4 lunch specials($16.95 ea). Cassie was our server again, same friendly and prompt service. Entrees were Victoria, Godzilla, crispy crunch and Nami rolls with appetizers of Chili Thai boneless chicken, egg rolls, spinach salad with peanut sauce and pork gyoza. Again fresh and tastefully presented.

This evening, We (Me , My husband & our little toddler) , have had supper / dinner in this restaurant . The lady served us was so rude, unprofessional and customer unfriendly! We requested her if we could get a table beside window as it was empty but not clean . She replied very rudely that she doesn’t have the time to clean it . We got hurt after hearing this and still wanted to have dinner as we thought she might be having a bad day . Then she cleaned the table anyways and ordered us not to let our toddler to play with windows blinds as we were still waiting to be seated and my baby was still on my lap , which was so rude and customer unfriendly . Then we ordered our food and asked for extra plate and she said they don’t have plates , her tone was disrespectful and unacceptable. At end of our dinner we asked for a napkins and she gave her attitude again . She can show her attitude one time , 2 times but not 4th times . We would never ever go in this restaurant again and would not recommend any family to have foods there . We don’t know if she is one of the owners/ employers or just a employe here but she was a racist for sure . She treated Asian and Caucasian customers nicely, but she was rude with us because we are brown. That’s what I felt…If she is a employee I would request her employer to train her how to behave with a customer in a friendly way for a better business!

As soon as we stepped foot, we were greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere perfect for seeking shelter from the cruel weather. The waitress was very friendly and offered us a window seat and hot tea. There was light serene music playing. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Fresh sushi, perfectly satisfying crisp tempura and the katsu don was piping hot. The pork in the katsu don was succulent and tender, and the sauteed vegetables (onion in particular) were exceptionally flavorful. Presentation was immaculate too. Praise be the generous portions meant to satisfy us completely! Even the sushi was much bigger than we expected, to our delight. For the rice bowl sushi and tempura, we had to ask for takeout containers. I should also emphasize how friendly the service was. There were two servers who were very attentive, they checked up on us frequently and refilled our glasses and cleared our dishes as needed. Their energy set a really positive note for us, we had a good impression of the place because of them!
