Very dissapointing experience. We dont expect much to be honest but what we received is below average.
First of all, i wont really call it Shaghai Cuisine as the taste is not so authentic. Base on the taste the chef seems to be a Taiwasness. i am not saying it is bad, but if you are looking for REAL shanghainess food, this wont be the place you should go .
The restaurant is very clean and modernize, located at the most popular road of whiterock, you will find the view from the balcony super adorable. We were well served when we step in and provided tea and water to start . However, it turn out to be very bad ever since we ordered food.
first of all , i ordered 4 appertizer , 1 soup , 1 dumsum, 4 main dishes and 2 noodle. 2 appertizer arrived first , and then main dish and nodles start rolling in and and reamin 2 appertizer cames in when we are almost done. and Yes, my soup and dimsum never shows up, and 1 of my main dishes as well, no where to be found............ i mean there is a reason why some dishes are called apperitzer. ... when it comes in at the end on the meal, it lossing it meaning. The waitress (or manager i guess) keep saying the kitchen is messing up all the order ,and we keep seeing other waitress keep bringing our food to other table...... welll..... to be very honest , on Sunday evening and i not sure why they expect there will be no client. if there is only 1 chef working , then please limite the client you intake. i did my job to reserve my table and somehow walkin customer is being served better than my table.
second of all. the Taste of food is very ......Average or satly i will say. But that wont be the main reason for the 1 star. the problem is when we told the waitress the dish is too satly and we cant eat it , she just seems not care at all . we still have to pay for full dish after we complaint and told her the food is uneatable.
lastly the service.... well , i am not saying it is bad, but honeslty no one really check us out during the dinner and ask us whether the food is okay, no one re-filled water or anything. i expect a bit more with this level of price to be honest....
at the end of the day i still pay her the full bill with 12% tips. Not becasue they are good at anything but only i want to support local and small business.
I wish the owner will see this post and do some...
Read moreI recently dined at The Bund Shanghai Cuisine on Whiterock Beach, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that truly deserves a five-star review. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that transported me to the vibrant streets of Shanghai.
The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, but two particular items stood out and left an indelible impression on my taste buds. First, the pineapple shrimp was a delightful combination of succulent shrimp, perfectly cooked and glazed with a tangy pineapple sauce that added a refreshing twist. The flavors blended harmoniously, creating a burst of culinary delight with every bite.
Equally impressive was the beef tenderloin in black pepper sauce. The tender and juicy cuts of beef were cooked to perfection, and the black pepper sauce added a tantalizing kick that elevated the dish to new heights. Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving for more.
The service at The Bund Shanghai Cuisine was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family.
If you find yourself at The Bund Shanghai Cuisine, I highly recommend trying the pineapple shrimp and the beef tenderloin in black pepper sauce. These dishes are a true testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs and will undoubtedly leave you with a lasting impression.
In conclusion, The Bund Shanghai Cuisine offers an exceptional dining experience that combines delectable cuisine, attentive service, and a charming atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of Shanghai cuisine or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreTo start there was a black hair in my food. My husband and I do not have black hair. I am naturally blonde he has light brown hair……. 🤮
This was my first time trying this place. I’ve tried many Chinese restaurants in the area and the reviews were high. However, when I came in, I had to try and get their attention and when I did when I went to pay, I noticed that the amount is higher than what is listed on their menu online. I also would’ve ordered online, but there was a four dollar service charge which I called and asked about and they had nothing to say so then they’re charging me more to pick up at the restaurant than they are to order online? When they brought the manager out, she had nothing to say and then walked away. I was very kind about it. I said that it’s OK I’ll pay whatever I realize it’s hard to do business but when I got home, my husband and I are eating the food. It’s tasteless bland the rice is plain. The beef and broccoli is OK. Lots of grizzly fats was a very cheap cuts of meat, but the sweet-and-sour chicken had no chicken in it like I’ll send you a photo. This is insane. It’s just batter. It’s disgusting. The peppers and onions are undercooked so if you would like to eat raw vegetables with your meal, go ahead so for $70 I am unbelievably underwhelmed and disappointed Very disappointed from the Customer Service difficulty getting in and out of there and the lack of care and consideration towards me when I’m trying to communicate with you and the food isn’t even good with all that said one star if I could give it zero I would. It’s giving food court, but way worse.
