I came to your restaurant this morning, our family came to surrey for my sister's wedding. And somebody suggested us to go visit white rock and we saw an Indian restaurant and came here just for tea as it was cold but we ended up getting nearly 10 things just because of the taste of the first thing we ordered. Also I have to say Jessica, our server, provided amazing service, which made me write this big review. She was so friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. Jessica took care of our group of 11 people effortlessly, making sure everyone felt welcomed and happy. She was always there when we needed her, refilling our glasses and bringing our food quickly. Not only that, Jessica was also really beautiful and her kindness shone through in everything she did. At the end of our meal, each person in our group thanked her for the wonderful service. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone visiting india chaat house for a truly special experience. We were about to have just tea but she recommend us things that we really loved. My kids are so obsessed with her as she talk to them really politely and listened to them with patience, maybe we will come back once again before going back to Brampton. Thank you, Jessica, for making our trip to whiterock...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here on our way from Vancouver to Seattle, obviously pretty early on in our trip. We were looking for a place in a scenic location but not too far off our route, ideally with excellent food and reasonable prices. This waterfront establishment met all of those expectations, though you can’t really see much of the water from the restaurant tables themselves mostly because of the museum right across the street blocking the view. The restaurant is clean, has modern decor, upbeat but relaxing Indian music, and a full menu for Indian food enthusiasts. As an amateur foodie myself, I stuck with chicken tikka masala, white rice, and naan which was very good at medium heat (I could have asked for less or more spicy, but this level was perfect for my wimpy taste buds yet still good for my husband’s braver ones). The waitress, Susmita, also recommended a yoghurt sauce which was excellent. There were many adventurous people ordering more diverse plates which all looked wonderful. We only were able to eat about half of what we ordered and so will probably get another meal out of the leftovers. After eating we went for a quick walk at the nearby pier before continuing on in our drive. Great place for a quick stop in a...
Read moreI recently visited India Chaat House and Restaurant with my wife while spending the day at White Rock Beach, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and the place had a cozy, homely vibe. The menu had a great variety of traditional Indian dishes and street food, and everything was priced very reasonably, making it a perfect spot for anyone looking for tasty food on a budget. We started with their famous pani puri and aloo tikki chaat, which were both bursting with authentic Indian flavours and spices. For the main course, we shared a butter chicken with naan and a vegetarian thali — everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The portion sizes were generous, and the balance of spices was just right, not too spicy but full of taste. The view of the beach nearby added to the relaxing atmosphere, making it a perfect dining experience. It’s not just the food, but the overall value and vibe of this place that makes it special. I would highly recommend India Chaat House and Restaurant to anyone visiting White Rock and craving delicious Indian food without...
