Edo Japan — Restaurant in Whitecourt

On one occasion I ordered online so I didn’t have to wait in the store with my baby. Get there and food wasn’t even started and ended up waiting 20 mins. Every time I go into the store and ask for my sushi to be made fresh I get a dirty look from this one lady, Like really who wants to eat cold hard rice that’s been in the fridge since who knows when. 9/10 times when I ask for chopsticks they get forgotten. Today I went in with my baby and even though the lady at the till (not the one who made my sushi prior) was really nice she said all utensils are in the bag, check bag and there was only a fork… who eats sushi with a fork. I think the employees should really try to do better and make sure everything is in the bag before it’s handed to the customer and if they ask for something like the sushi to be made fresh, do so with a smile and don’t roll your eyes. This is the only location I’ve had these issues at, busy Edmonton locations do better...

This is based off my last visit to Edo Japan in Whitecourt (last Sunday). I normally have no issues coming here with food or anything. I called my order in ahead of time nothing was ready and I was left waiting for over half hour. Restaurant was packed everyone was waiting on food no one went outside to wait in there vehicles. My food was left open for this hole time and the girl making the sushi was very slow, food was cold, received no sauces or condiments or utensils. Finally get out of there and home was sick instantly I have lost one weeks worth of pay now due to ignorance from sick people not staying home or in there vehicles and the place not making people go to there vehicles to wait on they're orders... No one had a mask on especially the person(s) that were...

Food looks and tastes great. Paid $50.00 For Teriyaki Chicken and Teriyaki Beef. Got sumo size. The sumo dish was half full. I ask them on it and they agreed the dish was half full. Regular size. They replaced the food on the recept. And yet again. Half full regular size. 4 prices of broccoli, 1 Mushroom and 1/2 cup of rice. I will never shop here again. She said they are measuring out the ingredients. Well I'll get it Edo in Edmonton, whete it's packed full to bulging lid. Times maybe hard. But ripping of the customer isn't right.
