Please note how delusional the owner is in his/ her response to negative reviews. Totally unprofessional. Terrible experience. We visited this restaurant at 3:45 PM on 05th August 2023. We placed our order and we were waiting in whatever limited space that was available inside. First of all, I would have not given any tip for the service that was going to follow. There were only 2 staff members when taking the order. They were in an orange uniform. Another staff member came in later. She was in a black uniform. Our experience begins to get worse from here. The staff members were a bit professional till then. Chaos began after this staff members arrival. We ordered a chicken platter and a beef platter. We also ordered pita bread with each order. The platter has rice and salad in it. A customer needs utensils to eat these. A customer does not have to specifically ask for it. It should be provided with the order. If it is an inconvenience to your staff, place a dispenser in a visible location. We asked for utensils. This staff in black uniform replied rudely " WHAT DO YOU WANT?" You work in a hospitality and food industry. Train your staff to be more respectful. " Pardon me " I beg your pardon" or even " Could you repeat that?" We had ordered 2 Pops with our platter too. We asked plastic cup for our daughter so that we could pour into it for her. This store didn't have any plastic cups. When a customer had ordered for pita in their order and paid for it. They don't have to ask the staff for it and then be questioned whether we had ordered for it. We had to remind the staff for our pita bread. There is no space to dine in this place. They have place two small dining tables in the path to the only disgusting restroom they have. They have another two high tables with 3 bar stools each right next to the entrance door with a garbage bin right next to one of these tables. They have a few outdoor dining tables. But the seats are all rusted. When we finally ate the food, it was the worst food I had from any shawarma place. I would advise the owner to go to places like Turquaz Kebab House in Edmonton and understand how most of these dishes are supposed to taste like. While dining, all I could hear was the constant irritating chatter of your staff. The black uniformed staff was complaining of some rude No Frills staff. Look who is talking. Never have I seen a staff so rude in a restaurant. At the end when another family we were travelling with asked for a carry out brown bag which she had seen lying by the counter. This same black uniformed staff said "We don't have any carry out bags. Just give them a small bag or give them a paper to wrap it in" I would advice the owner to train this staff member or if you are that person, correct yourself. The only thing that tasted good here were the 2 Pops that we ordered. If anyone is looking for a place to eat in Whitecourt, don't eat here. They have some fast food places and a pretty neat Donaire place I had visited in my last few travels. The food tastes terrible with less portions of proteins. The staff members are rude. There is no space to dine in. Please note how delusional the owner is in his/ her response to negative reviews. Totally...

Second time here, food was the same as last time which was consistent and great for the price. However, the younger lady with the dirty blonde hair tied back in two French braids could use a bit of an attitude adjustment or lesson in customer service. She did not welcome either us or the next guest, she was rude and abrupt with taking the orders, did not give any thanks or kind words - we were just "barked at" for our orders and then she walks away without saying a word leaving us and the other guy to figure out the tap screen which is still not super common in the service industry, the screen for payment challenged the senior customer after us a bit. Hopefully she can find a different job that suits her attitude better as the other young lady and younger taller gentleman with a man bun were clearly trying to give good food and service. One star each for the two friendly staff members, a star for the fair pricing, a star for the yummy food, one less star because no matter how bad your personal life is or whatever is going on - do not bring...

Why did you guys have to move to Whitecourt 😫😫😫😫

Living in North East BC, no great shawarma that could really hold a candle next to shawarma we were accustomed to while living in Ontario and/or Quebec, until some years ago we found one in Grande Prairie AB.

We would take a road trip to GP, stay at hotel for weekends with the kids, just so that we could have shawarma day and night throughout our stay 🙊🙈🙉

Then life got busy and somehow we couldn't find the time to do our ritual and when we finally returned to GP again, the shawarma placed was gone ☹

A trip to Edmonton made us find the shawarma place again. They had moved to Whitecourt!

Way further 😭

We were happy but sad at the same time. We dined in, ordered some for take out as we had ice cooler in the car. Left full, happy but yeah bittersweet as Whitecourt is just too damn far.

We missed you and glad you have more business in Whitecourt than in GP. More success to you, guys.

Awesome, awesome flavor for sure.

I was impressed by the food, great start. What's even more impressive was the customer service. They greeted everyone who walked in with smiles and good conversation. It's officially my favorite quick bite when traveling through. The owner is beyond nice. He greats you immediately and more than likely, he's going to be serving you as well. This place is clean and modern. I have to be a tad picky when eating out and this place was able to accommodate my every need and they were behind helpful in offering suggestions or details of ingredients. Lastly, I received a very generous amount of food for a lot cheaper than I was expecting. Good job! I might add, there aren't too many restaurants that have near perfect scores, and upon reading a single one star review, that lady is absolutely nuts. This place should have that perfect score.
