KFC — Restaurant in Whitecourt

Don't stop here. Service is a joke. This location doesn't actually do the toonie Tuesdays as we were told. First one that didn't that we've been too. They offered coupons so we took them. Ended up finding something we wanted and then proceeded to order but the girl just looked at us and told us we can't order it with her, it's online only? Ok sure, thanks for watching us look at the coupon for some time then letting us know we needed to down load the KFC app. So convience and ease is non existent at this location. We had a long drive so wanted to done in, there was only 3 tracked opened as they closed over half the restaurant off at 7pm... I'm not sure why but they definitely don't want you to dine in. Aside from them being only super friendly to their own workers and speaking across the restaurant in a different language, I sat there akwardly wondering if they were annoyed of us for asking about promotions and taking a bit to order on our phone. Very weird vibe. Not welcoming and honestly after running a couple semi fast food places, I've never seen a dinning room shut off that early especially if they close at 1030. Ps they charge for hotsauce here too. 55 cents a pack.... My food was decent. My partner came back with the wing sauce so I went up to the front and stood there for 5 mins saying excuse me because everyone was just chilling in the back. None, I repeat none of the other location charges for hot sauce. And as I was standing there, they had a sign that said hot sauce was .25 cents lol. I don't think they know what they are doing. When we got there it was just after 7, womens washroom was closed for cleaning. When we left, it was still closed, 45min later... I ended up using the men's bathroom. The lock is broken. I had to get my partner to stand outside the door so no one could walk in on me as he originally walked in on another dude when we first arrived and thought it was weird he didn't lock it after being embarrassed. Since our fast food restaurant’s have been taken over with New Canadians things just are not the same. Sure the efficiency is quicker but the quality is suffering. This is why I want to see my order before paying for it or leaving the store with take out.Went to this KFC ordered 10 piece chicken only. I was charged the traditional white meat up charge but that’s ok learnt to deal with it. The original chicken I received was very greasy slightly under cooked and the skin was soggy grey color. Looked nothing like the posters or pictures they promote to sell the Colonels chicken. I was told by the new Canadian that was the original chicken. Fak off back to where you came from if that’s what you think. First they took away the best gravy on the planet and now the chicken is bad. Theses New Canadian Managers and Service Employees are highly under trained or they blatantly don’t give a fiddlers you know. Sad that KFC’s chicken is half the size of Popeyes and a good old rotessierrary chicken is a third the price and a lot healthier for you. I have watched this location nose dive over the years, but the last couple years specifically have been horrible. The service is what makes it so bad I think. There’s always a screw up with the orders, and sometimes the food really isn’t good, but the service is one thing that is consistently horrible. When you walk in you’re ignored, go to the counter and the one lady just stares at you. Employees in the packing area usually start talking in their own language while looking at you, it’s a pretty uncomfortable experience. A few months ago I finally said something about how we were being treated. The manager stood there and didn’t say a word. We’ve been back a few times since and it has been even worse now.
