McDonald's — Restaurant in Windsor

Went through the drive through and received someone else's order. Realized when I got home and returned to the restaurant. They remade my order and then took it to another customer. That customer returned it and it sat there. They didn't tell me what had happened, they didn't begin making me a new meal, it just sat there while I waited patiently for them to tell me my meal was ready. After 20 minutes my order number disappeared from the screen. I approached the counter and was ignored for another few minutes. I flagged down one of the workers to ask what was going on with my order. They looked in the bag that was returned by another customer and had been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes and told me that was my order and asked if I wanted it. This place use to be one of the better McDonald’s but has gone downhill since covid. I use to go here weekly for an iced coffee or a quick snack but stopped after they stopped offering curbside pick up before 11am. The drive thru is always backed up to the road because they only have one lane available and their dining room is often closed.

They posted their hours for exhibition weekend, saying the dining room was available so we walked over only to find the dining room was in fact closed, I’m sure they lost a TON of business. Curb side pickup also wasn’t available and the 1 lane drive thru was a nightmare, I’m SHOCKED there wasn’t multiple accidents in that parking lot.

This is one franchise owner who is cheap beyond cheap. No napkins except for what comes with your order, if any. I had to go into the washroom and get some paper towels to handle our needs. Was told curtly that I could have asked for more! No straws that I could find, no salt or pepper, ketchup readily available except by lining up at at the busy counter.The floorwalker literally watches over your shoulder to ensure you are not bringing food from say nearby Tim's for example to eat for dessert. I know that because my friend was told not to do it again even if you buy their food as well. And finally they do not handle crowds well often only having one register open with 6 or 8 in the line.
