A&W Canada — Restaurant in Winnipeg

So, started off well. A little line up but moved quickly and took my order quick with no delay when saying I had a coupon. Get to the window and present my coupon first. I am scolded for not stating I had s coupon when I did. Which I made sure to say. My meal included a root beer float and I ask for ketchup and mayo. I get my food, with a dripping wet rooter float and the window closed in my face. I was left cleaning up the mess for about 10 seconds when the window is thrown open again. I am then asked if I needed something because I could just move up. There was no one behind me and DUH I can move up. Realize I am a grown woman with a child speaking to me is this tone. I bark back that you gave me a drink that was spilling everywhere. She says OK and closes the window again. Get home....no napkins and 1 ketchup and 1 mayo packet. GREAT. Food...good, customer...

I love A&W breakfast! I was driving by and noticed on their sign they have All Day breakfast at this location so today I decided to stop in.

First off, it's one of the nicest looking, well kept locations I've been to. They even have a Mug froster cooler for the drink glass mugs!!; I have never seen that before! The place was very clean and the front counter staff were cheerful and upbeat which made for a better experience. (Sometimes with fast food places where you have high schoolers working on the weekends, the kids can sometimes come across as rude or "not wanting to be there" attitude. )

The Bacon & Egger meal I had was made fresh. Hashbrown - warm and crispy. And the orange juice came in a frosted mug. 🙌

This location is usually decent, and the food tastes fine. However, like all A&W locations, it’s extremely overpriced without coupons, and the staff here have a real attitude problem. They don’t operate with a “customer is always right” mentality.

I come here often, but on a recent visit I ordered coffee with my breakfast. The coffee tasted burnt, so I politely mentioned it to the staff. Instead of offering a solution, they told me it was a fresh pot and refused to make another. How absurd!

I even left feedback directly with A&W and never received a response. So I’m posting about my awful experience here. I’d recommend staying away unless you have coupons and don’t mind the risk of your order being wrong—because if it is, the staff...
