Burger King — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I am writing to formally express my deep concern regarding the unacceptable conditions I encountered during my recent visit to this location. The level of cleanliness, hygiene, and overall management was far below the standard I expect from a reputable establishment like Burger King.Upon entering the restaurant, I was appalled by the complete lack of cleanliness. The tables were sticky and cluttered with leftover wrappers, ketchup stains, and trash. The floor was littered with debris, and chairs were left haphazardly scattered. It was clear that regular cleaning and upkeep were being neglected.

Even more concerning was the apparent shortage of staff. Only three visibly overwhelmed employees were present, attempting to provide service With no one assigned to clean or sanitize tables, floors, or dining areas, the environment quickly deteriorated into an unsanitary and uncomfortable space.

Additionally, I noticed a large number of homeless individuals occupying the restaurant. While I fully empathize with those facing hardships, the lack of supervision and control over the premises turned the location into an informal shelter. Several individuals were sleeping, loitering, or storing personal belongings in the dining area, further contributing to an unsafe and unhygienic atmosphere for customers .This was by far the worst experience I have had at a fast-food restaurant, and it is deeply disappointing to see such disregard for customer comfort, health, and safety.

I strongly urge Burger King to take immediate corrective actions to address the staffing shortages, restore proper cleanliness and hygiene protocols, and ensure that the restaurant environment is safe, welcoming, and appropriately managed...

Terrible. Was very specific on the deal that I wanted, she orginally punched in the wrong one, when I clarified which one I wanted, the 5$ whopper junior meal she apologized. Which was ok. Told her I understand. Asked me what drink i wanted, and myself not knowing this deal doesnt come with a drink answered. When I got to the window, my order was double the price. When I asked about the amount and clarified to the lady at the window what my order was, she turned and told the one I was talking to while ordering, it was actually the wrong items, she then came to the window and told me that I needed to specify when making the order. I let her know I was very specific that I said I wanted the 5$ deal. In a very annoyed rude tone, her response was "no you didn't, I asked what drink you wanted and that deal doesn't come with a drink, you should have told me that, next time, make sure you say that you don't want a drink and then I'll know what you want." I again told her I was very specific about the $5 deal when I ordered. I didn't know it didnt come with a drink. She then ignored me and held the pin pad out and rudely said go wait at the front. While I completely understand alot of times fast food workers have to deal with grumpy people, and mistakes are made, I did not ONCE give her any attitude and it was ABSOLUTELY unprofessional of the way this worker acted. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL STEAL YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!

I ordered 2 whoppers for $9.00 at this restaurant. Total with tax came up to $10.08. I first paid with a gift card with $2.60 left on the card. I then used a brand new $25.00 gift card to pay the remaining $7.48. I swiped the new gift card on the credit card terminal and it said I had a remaining balance of $17.52. Order paid for or so I thought.

However, the employee (manager) said I still owed $7.48. I told her that the terminal said the new gift card had a remaining balance of $17.52 but she ignored my observation and told me to swipe again. I swiped the card again and now the terminal said the remaining balance was now $10.04 (17.52-$7.48). I told the manager I had been double charged and even showed her the gift card balance off my phone but said it is impossible to be double charged. She also called me a liar and said that I didn't have a card with a full $25 on it.

I was charged $17.56 for 2 whoppers when I should have been charged $10.04.

Never again will I go to this Burger King. The manager was rude, called me an outright liar and said it's IMPOSSIBLE to be double charged when using a gift card. She ignored my concerns and did absolutely nothing to rectify...
