Very disappointed…..We tried this bakery out today as I’ve heard many good things about it it’s a very very small place inside but the issue was I tried to order gluten-free bread they did not have it ! then I ordered a coffee and I wanted artificial sweetener, I use Splenda as I’m diabetic and they did not have any form of artificial sweetener,ahg so we drove to Corydon Avenue to the Coco bake shop (774 Corydon) and got my gluten-free bread there & my coffee , coco was very good service and very good bread. tall grass bakery should do a better job at accommodating all ranges of customers and Not only cater to one bunch, i’m diabetic and I feel DISCRIMINATED against as I could not even get anything that was sugar-free in the form of pastry or...

I love Tall Grass Prairie. I come by here on a fairly regular basis. Their brownies, Folkfest cookies, cheese breadsticks with sesame seeds, whole wheat cinnamon buns, lemon poppyseed cake, chocolate cake and pies are among my favorites. Their pies are pretty expensive but completely worth it (you pay a deposit for the metal pie tin which you can return for store credit). The pies are completely hand made and you can often see people making them in the back. Their bread is great too – they occasionally make potato break which is amazing. Tall Grass Prairie bread Company is an awesome bakery, located in the Wolseley neighborhood of Winnipeg. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They bake fresh bread, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and other baked goods to perfection. They also sell fresh juice, organic milk, and other drinks in addition to jams and free range eggs. I love coming to this place. It has such a nice vibe and it’s always a pleasure to stop by here for a snack. There’s no seating inside, however, there’s an outdoor patio, which is really nice in the summer. It’s a short walk from the Assiniboine river as well. Definitely a pleasure visiting this local gem.
