Five Guys — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I ordered a hamburger and little fries and a bottle of water. The hamburger was a homestyle pair of patties on a sesame bun, roughly the size of a baseball/softball, wrapped in foil. The patties were beefy, but not very flavourful. I had ordered it with grilled onions and mushrooms in addition to the usual tomato and lettuce, which were present, and mayo and A1 sauce (I would have preferred HP sauce, a much tastier steak sauce), which were not. It was therefore a dry offering. It was busy at the order desk, so I didn't complain and ask for a rebuild. I slipped one of the patties out so that I could fit it into my mouth, and ate it in the very simple red-and-white dining room. The counters and tables were clean but the floors were dirty. The fries were a very large serving for "little", and I ate about 1/3. All in all, an acceptable meal except for the omissions. I'd far prefer for the order to be made right to start, than have to go back, especially considering the cost. The cost was very high for this simple single meal. I would have had a much more flavourful meal for 3 more people if I had used 2 two-can-dine coupons at another burger place, I'm thinking of A&W in particular. Will I go back? Meh. Maybe, if there was a great coupon, and if I went at a low-pressure hour were the order had a better chance of being...

There's a number of reasons why I like this shop. I appreciate that they use peanut oil in their fryers because it is amongst the healthiest oils to use specifically for FRYING your food because your food will absorb the least amount of oil. So it's therefore a 'clean fry'. You don't get that smoking up the place nasty greasy affect which is much more pleasant and of course this is why peanut oil is traditionally the oil of choice for classic Fondues. Ok, next I love that they make their food fresh to serve to you. The fries are fresh cut in the restaurant & fried there in front of you, similarly to New York Fries shops... Their burgers are also from fresh ground beef prepared into patties there in front of you. Everything is bright, clean, relatively spacious & straight forward. The portions are generous & the prices are reasonable. If you're familiar at all with my reviews, then you already know that I am physically disabled.. So therefore, I appreciate accessibility and they do provide both free handicap parking & an easy access entrance. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because I would really appreciate if they would offer an 'alternatives' menu for Vegetarian & Halal options. Then they would be perfect😁👍. But they're totally worth the visit if you love yummy...

Good location for the restaurant. Parking option is good.You get parking most of the time.This mall is busy even if they have good option of few businesses.Food is well done and one of the best in town.Don't have to wait for food too long.Their fries and burgers are favorite and liked by most. Giving all stars because of customer service. Most of the staff is polite and give good customer service. I see this place following city process. Entrance and exit doors at distance.Plenty of room inside for proper social distancing and markes too. i also like their food handling process. Few times food servers don't have gloves on or failed to follow the food industry standard.i see them sanitizing regularly.i expect they deliver same or better kind of service always. though their follow up on reviews can't be seen. it could mean monitoring is not done appropriately which is not something we expect.still coz of employees they get good rating.i will keep giving...
