â â â ââ Disappointing Experience
Weâve ordered from Wok Box three or four times, and while the food itself has always been good, but consistent mistakes have completely ruined the overall experience. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last order.
1ď¸âŁ Wrong Order â Today, I ordered two Sweet Mongolian with beef, but we received one with beef and one with what seemed to be pork. This isnât the first time our order has been incorrect. If I wanted pork, I would have ordered itâaccuracy matters.
2ď¸âŁ Delivery Issue â While this may have been the driverâs fault, the boxes arrived flipped over in the bag, causing everything to be soaked in sauceâboxes, napkins, forks, and the bag itself. Not a great start to the meal.
3ď¸âŁ Missing Fortune Cookie â I understand Saturday evenings are busy, but receiving only one fortune cookie and the other being just an empty âfortune air-filledâ bag was disappointing.
4ď¸âŁ Portion Size â For $20 per noodle dish, I expected a more substantial portion. Unfortunately, the serving size was quite small for the price.
Sorry, Wok Box, but after multiple issues, this was...
Read moreExcellent, quick service and food! Promotions are engaging and make for an exciting reason to come back! Now more detail: I had the Thai Red half size option with chicken. The vegetables and chicken pieces were coarsely cut and placed on top of the rice. Itâs clear that the produce is fresh and thereâs no guilt in eating this. Do wish that they added more rice to the half box to top it up - if that was how half boxes were handled this would be 5 stars. Also had spring rolls which were very tasty! Chopsticks are premium for disposable wooden chopsticks with small etching at the proximal end. Overall, for me, Iâd rather pay a bit less for more âlower qualityâ food that youâd get from Thai Express or Panda Express. This restaurant is not like these competitors and aims to be a healthier, albeit more pricy option. If thatâs what youâre looking for, you will very likely see Wok...
Read moreWhen this restaurant first opened I was very optimistic as I love poutine as well as noodle dishes. However after trying numerous dishes over a dozen orders, I have to say that this place is best avoided. The food is tasty to be sure. But the portions are insanely small. Regardless of what size you order the box is always mostly empty. The last number of times I ordered I received what can only be described as a 'small fries' 20-30 at best with a few strips of meat and some veggies that came to over $15 and this is the standard price for a 'small', a large or 'sumo' runs almost $20. For $15-20 I expect a 'tonne' of fries and toppings. I mean their only fries for crying out loud, one of the cheapest things around. Highly overpriced and horrible portions that are just insulting mean I just won't be going back. There are better...
