Frank's Pizza — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My husband and I decided to try Frank's after a friend had recommended it.

We placed our order and were advised it would be 30 minutes for pick up. Perfect. I arrived at the half hour mark and was told it would be another 5-10mins. No problem.

17 minutes later the food arrives. It was a wait but we didn't care, we were just excited to dig in when we got home.

This was our experience: Pizza - the chicken topping was dry and the entire pizza was coated in a VERY thick layer of cheese (I picked some off and I'm a cheese lover). And the mushrooms. Oh the mushrooms. There were so many mushrooms. They were stacked 6-7 high in some spots. If you love cheese and an unexpectedly high amount of mushrooms, you're golden.

Chicken wings - the wings had the texture of those from a gas station that had been sitting under a heat lamp for the better part of a day or two. The sauce looked like an afterthought dumped on unevenly in the container (decent sauce though).

DONT even deserve one star! I ordered for Delivery and was told it was going to be 1 hour not a problem so we opened the door and we turned on the outside light. My family of 4 sat in eye view of the door on the couch. 10:30 comes that is a hour after we ordered decided to go outside for a smoke still no pizza. Half a hour later I called the store at 11:11 pm no answer they are closed and still no pizza. 1130 Gave up on waiting. So today I call tell them about this issue and they exsplain It was never delivered because it was set for pickup and they will send me a new one today the manager calls me back and states that the guy said he was at my door with no answer impossible I tell him he proceeded to argue with me and say that the GPS says he was. I told him the houses are so close together the chance is he was not at my house but one of the nabours he argued that too. Long story short no pizza was delivered and no resolve for the issue by management who in my opinion shouldn't be in the position due to a complete lack of customer servce skills This isn't update: the owner is no better at...

Thought I would try Frank's as I've been hearing about it a lot lately (ads on radio/podcast) and everything I have heard were rave reviews. This lead to my surprise when I opened the box and it was the most unappetizing looking pizza I have ever seen. The cheese is just a giant colorless blob covering the entire pizza, and making all other toppings extremely soggy. The sauce which everyone says is so great, was almost unnoticeable (when found it had a nice taste, but nothing to write home about). Lastly, the crust seemed undercooked, was soggy, and stuck to the paper in the box. I've never seen a pizza stick like this when trying to grab a slice. Honestly felt a bit sick after eating it, and I'm not one to ever be affected like this from food. The staff were friendly, but the pizza was average at best, leading it to the 2 stars...
