Use to be reasonable prices on most items and service was not bad before. Now suddenly they have raised prices from one dollar during pandemic on all items on the menu without the improvement of the food. Many students use to come to eat but they cant afford to eat their. The restaurant itself is very rundown and cleaniness is questionable. Often garbage is full located at front counter and often flies can be seen flying around the restaurant. They only clean tables when you ask them otherwise it's not been cleaned between customers. When most businesses are closing down during pandemic and raising prices does not justify it at all. Staff is not very friendly and never smile at the customers. Can of coke went from 1.25 to 1.99. I would rather go to nicer restaurants if I have the same high prices. People are struggling during pandemic and they are taking advantage of people especially university students who cant afford to pay those prices. Many are international students and are struggling to live. Since prices were raised now you can see restaurant is empty. Would not recommend this place. The owners response is disgusting in nature and attacking me as an individual by pointing out lies. The whole place is filthy with tables not cleaned as well the floors are black. Most often the curries have no flavour and are so cold. There is no meal for 7 dollars. All food material is placed on shelves is near the bathroom which is filthy. This business does not make feel welcome in the restaurant and never say hi or smile at you. The owners response was very unprofessional and uncalled for show how ignorant he is. I have never heard of good things about this restaurant especially people who order tiffin service complained about the food quality and were not happy. Learn some manners. Read moreThis is the second time I’m getting sick after eating dinner from Indian Food Corner. Last time I got food poisoned around 2 months ago and after that I never ordered from them. Two days ago I thought I will give them a try again and ordered the chicken curry and chapathis. It tasted good while I ate it but after 30 minutes my stomach started paining and I was having a bad headache. I tried to sleep and couldn’t sleep. After sometime Diarrhea started and I was in the washroom for around 2 hours. Next morning I went to the doctor and he confirmed that I was food poisoned. I checked in with some of my friends in town sharing my experience and they also told me that they have had similar experiences with the food from Indian food corner in the past. At this point it is very clear that Indian food corner has been serving old food and has been cheating their customers especially white people who doesn’t know the authentic taste of Indian food. I have contacted the Manitoba Public Health Inspector regarding the 2 experiences I have had, I have also shared the proof of purchase and doctors documentation for the food poisoning . Please serve fresh food and make sure that food is not old. I understand the fact that the food prices are cheap in your restaurant but that doesn’t mean that you have to cut down the quality of the food and serve rotten items making the citizens sick. I remember two years ago they had really bad customer service, people at the cash counter wouldn’t smile or greet! That gave a really bad impression, but they have started out great in the new location, lot lot better! Honestly…I think the staff needs a little more training on being professional, I felt a uncomfortable and unacknowledged with the servers the last time I was there, decided I wouldn’t come for a dine in for a bit! I paid, didn’t tip, I left all the food uneaten and they never cared to ask me about it. I just left, I was greeted with a big thank you when I was leaving, felt really bad. No hard feelings, I am a regular customer but I’d prefer to stay home and order online instead of being humiliated like that.
