Pizza's we have so many different places to have this Winnipeg. But Santa Lucia is kind of a stand out when it's comes to this food. They have a really selection of Pizza's their sauce is something else in combination of the base they make just makes the pizza really good. Plus, one of those Pizza's that even upon reheating the taste doesn't get ruined. Have had a bunch of takeout before first time trying their Dine In. All in all their starter prices are genuine with a bunch of different options. Loved the cheese toast, really loved it. My friends are a big fan of their Veggie Pizza. I am cheese lover had to make a makeshift Margherita, without basil, that was a bit disappointing, they should start carrying basil. But still loved the Pizza without it. Their portions don't disappoint. Their Pizza prices are a bit on the high end but it's OK for the quality and in the end its satisfying. Did have a bit of an issue with customer service, nothing negative but its just slow. It wasn't that busy but still felt like it was kinda on the slower end. Though would definitely keep on doing my takeouts. Dine in is ok once in a while, it's Pizza you can always enjoy it at home.

First time at this location after almost 14 years. We voted to have our team meeting here, as everyone was in the mood for some good authentic Italian pizza. I have to say that I was rather disappointed. The dough of my pizza was not fully cooked through, and the ham was the cheap-kind that you buy at the grocery store. Our server was initially very chatty, and spent time explaining all the drinks we asked about. Then she was seated a large party and was lost. Disappointing that no other server felt the need to check up on us out of common sense or human decency to help out a fellow teammate. Not cool. We would just sit there, trying to get someone's attention, and nothing. When our food was served, no one offered us fresh parmesan. When we finally caught a server walking by and asked for freshly grated parmesan, we were told it was extra charge! What??? Seriously??? Extra charge for some freshly grated cheese at a pizzeria??? Not cool at all. We ordered nachos and calamari rings to start, both were great. I had the berry lemonade, and it was plain, very little flavor. I ordered an individual pizza with ham and mushrooms. And the dough was not cooked all the way. Baklava for desert. Well, that is not baklava, guys. That is a Canadian attend at a baklava perhaps. Don't put no cinnamon in baklava. We had a great time catching up and chatting away, but all agreed that the service was absolutely disappointing, and not because of our server alone, but rather the lack of teamwork.

Unfortunate circumstance turned sour by poor management. Blown away by the manager Peter and how he dealt with our table on the patio being swarmed by wasps. As someone with experience in the hospitality industry I couldn’t believe how he condescendingly told us that he “can’t control Mother Nature” when we asked to talk to him about how stressful our dinner had become with the amount of wasps on the beautiful rooftop patio. The poor lady to our right was icing her hand after being stung so we inquired about our options for any wasp traps or moving indoors but instead we were given extra coasters to cover the tops of our glasses? I deeply appreciate being understaffed and recovering from the pandemic but we had to pack up our meals and leave without any compensation. He told us that all customers were warned of the wasps which we definitely were not but changed his story to say that everyone was being told from now on. Any other restaurant would have maybe covered the cost of our cocktails that the wasps were feasting on. We love Santa Lucia and of course still tipped our sympathetic server but Peter needs some management training!

Lets be real, Sanfa Lucia is legendary. If their parking was half as good as their food, they'd be an unstoppable force in the restaurant industry. Speaking to their food, its incredible. It's great, and you can really tell the people behind the food are passionate about what they do. The service, Incredible. Our server was super friendly, on the ball, and was fast given the rush hours of dinner. We had a large party and got ojr stuff fast. My only gripe and complaint is the parking. It was impossible to find space. I did eventually, but at a severe cost to my mental health. I would rather walk across St Mary's blind folded and set on fire over trying to park here again. Is it still a 5-star experience? Yes, the kitchen and serving staff absolutely deserve the chance to wow you. I judt recommend taking an Uber, csr pooling, or going early to grab a parking spot.

***UPDATE 11/2018*** We had just about the best keto pizza I've had in a restaurant to date. The crust is only cheese and it cost us $17.50 for a 10" 2 topping. It was very filling. We will definitely be back. It's too bad the wings aren't keto friendly, but we have riblets instead. Those were also delicious. ----------- I just love the upstairs patio. It's a great place to go and have drinks and the food is always consistent and delicious. It's very underhanded of the owners to have specials like wing nite but no mention that I could see that it is only available in the downstairs lounge. It sounds like we aren't the only patrons to make this mistake. Better to make it evident than to be shocked by the bill or better still not include it in the full menu - post it only in the lounge.
