Cute cafe with delicious vegan food in St Boniface. It's a very small space where they also sell books. There are a few tables but it can be difficult to find a seat since they are tasty.

I was told the chef used to cook at mondragon that used to be in the exchange district. I used to frequent that place a lot.

The maple sandwich was very good. 4.25 stars. They were very generous with the filling, but it was a bit strong in flavor.

The tofu snack we got as a starter was nice. 4 stars. I would have personally preferred if it was a bit harder or crunchier? On the outside... But the flavor and the sauce it came with was excellent

The black beans and butternut squash was pretty standard. A solid item. 4 stars.

They sell pastries from le Gato.(another bakery in Winnipeg). I couldn't tell that they were vegan, at least not the croissants that I ordered. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but they were sourdough croissants.

Parking is available on the street for free if you can find a spot. It was a little bit difficult today on a...

I have been a regular here for years! Here are 3 reasons:

  1. Fresh, Healthy, Tasty, Local, scratch-made, all Vegan menu.

  2. Amazing cost/portion ratio! Or in otherwords, Relatively cheap compared to every other place that has local, homemade vegan food. Both my wallet and my belly ALWAYS leave full.

  3. Owners Jason + Sandra are some of the kindest and friendliest people I have ever met. Not only are they willing to chat when they have time, they are authentically and genuinely interested in the lives of their customers and their community. They are always happy to share EXACTLY what is in the food, (because they have nothing to hide) without having to dig through a freezer to check the ingredients label (like the bigger restaurants.) They can do this because there are no labels; They make everything themselves! You won't find GFS or Cisco logos around here!

If eating a vegetable burger or trying "fake cheese" makes you feel uncomfortable or lacking, this place WILL change your mind!

🙏🏼Forever Grateful for lovely little...

I picked up take-out dinner from Thyme Cafe in September 2022 and it was my first time visiting. This is an all-vegan cafe with gluten free options (which I appreciated), and everything is homemade and fresh.

I ordered the Thyme Burger on gluten free sourdough and the Quinoa Almond Feta Salad. Everything tasted delicious and flavourful! The almond feta was unique and not something I would know how to make on my own, so it was great to try that. The homemade black bean burger was amazing and moist and I loved the cheese sauce.

The cafe is small and has some indoor seating, and they also have used books for sale. The staff were friendly and the cafe had overall good vibes. The prices were also very reasonable.

I will definitely eat here again and am already planning what to order next on the menu. Can’t wait to return and will tell my friends...

I came across this hidden gem while in Winnipeg. This bookstore cafe is the perfect quaint place to sit with a great book and enjoy an incredible meal and beverage. My choice today was the Thyme burger and a Chai Latte. The beautiful colours and flavours in this burger were beautiful and an absolute delight to my tastebuds. The chai latte was also the best I have ever had! If I ever decide to move to Winnipeg I would love to be in walking distance of this place and give up cooking completely! Yes it was that good! If this was that good I cannot wait to taste the rest of the menu! Whether you are vegetarian or not I highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t already. Best Vegetarian Restaurant I have ever been to. Thank you for such an amazing experience!
