McDonald's — Restaurant in Winnipeg

At 11:08pm tonight, we decided on snacks on our way home. So we drove up to the drive thru menu where you get your order taken. We heard the microphone turn on, we say "hello", then silence as no one responded to our several "hello" greetings. So I tell my hubby to drive up to the window. As we approached, we clearly seen a young adult male wearing his jacket, (maybe he was recently done his shift) standing right beside the til so he could obviously see us with his peripheral vision but he didn't care to acknowledge us yet again. He could've done a courtesy , opened the window quickly to say "someone will be right with you", but nothing.There was another employee cleaning a machine but in clear view of us. We honked our horn, still no one even acknowledged us being there at all. So we left and went to tim Hortons instead. Never in my 46 years have I ever not been served in a McDonald's drive thru. This was definitely a first for us. Not only are these "fast food" restaurants used as a convenience but the service in them are getting worse and worse. It seems like employees at these places don't care about providing good service anymore or at all for this matter just as long as they get a pay cheque but Newsflash, if it wasn't for customers, they wouldn't have a job! Sorry but the Northdale McDonald's is by far the worst one and we won't be going back ever again. I don't...

Very disappointed with this location. Ordered one thing, got another. Went home. Found wrong thing. Went to closer restaurant only to find out I couldn't change it there due to owner rules. Fine. Went out of my way to go back to the original store, where I was treated kindly by the girl, but her manager was a real piece. Offered only a refund, and wanted me to pay for a full order, would not take into account that I spent my time, energy and gas going back, and would again have to drive home. Was mouthy and was not empathetic at all. The first thing anyone in his position should have done, is offered a new meal and a refund for his staff's mistake. That's all. Instead he went out of his way to be obstinate and rude. He needs to get his head on straight and do some course training on actual customer service. Don't know his name or whether or not he has customer service experience, but he is tall and quite skinny. Seems a bit young, and needs to learn that discounting the effort I went through to get this corrected is not professional. In any case, this was the worst McDonald's experience I've had, I've never had anyone in the service industry try to make me feel like my time and energy doesn't matter, and that is a problem that needs to be fixed.

This McDonald’s possibly takes the cake for the worst McDonald’s in Winnipeg. Save your time and just drive west 5 additional minutes and go to the other McDonald’s on Henderson.

I arrived the drive thru, I waited over 10 minutes to have someone take my order despite saying hello 5 different times and being ignored. The other drive thru lane had 4 cars that were served in the time I was waiting.

They did not have nugget sauce. They charged me for a junior chicken I did not ask for. after waiting 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge I was waiting to be served they parked me and took an addition 7 minutes after parking me at their pull ahead window to get my food. my food was cold, so they were not waiting for fresh food because I don’t mind when I have to wait for that purpose. they did not put my mcchicken sauce that I paid for in my bag I returned through the drive thru when I noticed I was over charged, they refused to give me the full refund and gave me $1 for a junior chicken refund.

I’m a former McDonald’s employee of 6 years and I understand the operations of McDonald’s and try very hard to remain respectful however I have no idea who’s running this location but it may be time to re-evaluate management.

Save your money from this location and go to the other location on Henderson you will get the friendly accurate service that McDonald’s...
