Pho Yo Vietnamese Cuisine — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Food serving was okay but tasteless. Nothing really special like the other pho restaurants in wpg. I've read a lot of reviews about the server being rude yet we still tried dining here. And yes, it's true that the short lady server was rude. My friend ordered a large veggie pho but there's not much soup on it so she asked if she can get more soup. The server said there's an extra $2 charge which was okay to my friend. I ordered the deluxe rice plate but the fish sauce was not enough as she only gave me so little and I can't taste my vermicelli noodles and spring rolls so I asked for a refill or extra of the fish sauce which I thought was free just like in some of other Vietnamese restos. When we are about to pay, I saw our bill has a lot of extra charges that she did not mention when she served us. The extra soup that she said was $2, she charged us $3. The extra fish sauce that I asked bcos she only gave a very little amount cost me $2 and the sriracha that my other friend asked was also $2. We're okay paying those extras but she should've informed us. When I told her, Oh I didn't know you charge extra for those. She replied: "Then you should have asked first." Like wth?! How is this lady still have a job here? Lol! Or I guess she's the owner....

Upon arrival, our hostess did not escort us to our table.

After seating ourselves, the hostess kind of just tossed the menus on the table for us.

She did not take the liberty of informing us of any specials or not listed items on the menu.

After taking a look at their very minimal selection of dishes, we decided we weren't going to eat there.

The hostess came by ready to take our order and I kindly let her know that we weren't going dine there anymore.

When she asked why, I tried to explain that there wasn't much dishes for us to choose from. In her act of retaliation, she interrupted me and tried to tell me that there was a variety of dishes on the menu and point on it as if I had not already looked myself.

For the mark up on the dishes, you could get a much better deal at other nearby Vietnamese...

If I could give this disaster of a reataurant negative stars I would.

1. no air circulation, it’s hot as all heck in here

2. dirty dirty dirty dirty

3. the meat in my soup tasted pretty old, broth was good but something sour about the meat didn’t eat it

4. the “new” menu item it was three different buns stuffed with meat turned out to be “giant tiger” looking fake chicken, a piece of again sour meat, and one loaded with sauce and two shrimp … ended up eating a couple bites of each…. When the server asked how it was we let her know the truth, she took away ALL THE FOOD including my soup i didn’t finish and walked away

5. when we went to pay there was no consideration for the terrible buns, when confronting the server she said “I’m not the owner, nothing I can do”
