A complete and utter disgusting dump! The first thing you're greeted with when entering the restaurant is the aroma of a stinky bathroom. If you dare use the bathroom, you must go down a flight of the most horrifying unbalanced stairs you've ever seen to get to the bathroom that you've never even dreamed to experience. Don't say I didn't warn you. The bathroom is literally coming apart, Only the "hot" faucet works, (and really badly I may add), and cold water comes out. The bathroom cubical is tiny, the door gets stuck at the toilet, the toilet is detached from the wall and is like the most uncomfortable rocking chair you've ever been on. When you move, it moves with you! One has likely never experienced anything like it. Everything is filthy, everything! There is dried up debris everywhere, dried up fec al matter on the bathroom door, the faucet and on the light switch.
There are a number of seats, and no one sits in them to eat, it is pretty much a take out joint, so I'm thinking the owner/s feel there is no reason to clean the place. The chairs are uncomfortable, the carpet is dirty, the tables clothes from the 70s are tearing and look like they've never been washed, the air conditioner is falling apart, doesn't work, yet it working very hard as it is loud, and nothing is kept clean. There is no sign that they regard the customer in anyway whatsoever. The only thing they have reliably kept up to date with, is the prices! That ... has been regarded .. of course.
The food is an odd relationship between cheap and tasty at the same time. It is rather tasty for the most part, which is their saving grace I imagine, but some dishes like their chow mains for example, are cheaply done. Many of their dishes use way too much salt, and ultimately, leave something to be desired.
All in all it is a health hazzard to dine in this place, and perhaps to just be in it in general, and I'm surprised they are still in business (and allowed to be) as they've only deteriorated throughout the years and is quite frankly, horrifying.
Once again ... don't say you weren't warned. I will not...
Read moreI've always been hesitant to leave negative reviews. As someone who works in the service industry, I know how negative feedback travels easier than positive feedback. With that being said, I've sat on this one for a while now, and with reading some of the other negative reviews, I think I should share my experience as well.
I placed an order for pick-up, and when I came into the restaurant, I was taken back by how dingy and dimly lit the restaurant was, there was a young man, maybe 20 years old, who just stood there at the counter and didn't say hello. I'm always quite cordial, and so I initiated the hello. I then threw a bone and said: "How's it going?" He just shrugged his shoulders and looked at me. I very nearly just walked out. I'd never had anyone so rude. It made me feel like I was being a hassle for giving them my business.
So, as a last chance - and putting him on the spot, I responded to my earlier question with: "..good?" Finally, he grumbled something about work being slow.
When he brought the food out, I asked if he had a bag, and he audibly sighed and went into the back.
As a chef, a foodie, and a lover of all food, especially Chinese food, this food was nothing what I was hoping for. As much as I hate wasting food, this $60 purchase only amounted to only one plate, and sadly, the rest went to the garbage.
Would not order again, and as much as I know how hard it is for restaurants to succeed, I would not be upset to see...
Read moreThis review is based on a comparison of what this restaurant used to be to what it is now. Prices were great. Food was very good. Portions were generous. However, in the last couple years, it has gone way downhill.
Quality has been cut in at least half, portions have decreased or been replaced with cheap cabbage, fillers or heavy breading …Meats are battered with heavy flour(the outside is cooked but inside, the flower is undercooked as a result of it being way too thick to make the pieces look bigger). The poor quality chicken is literally thinner than the batter. Lunch combos used to come with beef and a gravied stir fry which has been removed. Prices have doubled quality/quantity has been cut in half. Dinner combo is the exact same as lunch with the addition of a .25 cent tasteless veggie spring roll. It should be noted wonton soup is always good.
We need to stop all the Shrinkflation. Price increase is entirely fine over time but cutting quality and quantity in half is...
