Vi-Ann Restaurant — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Having enjoyed Bac & his team's food since back when he was Osborne, I can't believe I've never left a review here. One of the longest running, well-known Vietnamese restaurants in Winnipeg, he delivers each and everytime. In the more than 100 times I've been here, I've never had something I didn't enjoy thoroughly. In addition to the great food and drink selection, it is run with the live and care of a family restaurant. I've seen his kids grow as he has mine. Noodles, pho, salad rolls and stir fries. Typically diverse offerings and selection with a little something more in flavour than elsewhere. If I could give 6 starts here...

I visited Vi-Anne for my first time on September 11, 2020. It was also my first time trying Vietnamese food.

I was impressed at the amount of vegetarian options and an entire page of the menu was dedicated to plant based meals. I ended up ordering the tofu spring rolls and tofu with coconut sauce and steamed rice and mixed veggies. Both tasted amazing and flavourful!

The service was friendly and prompt and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was located in an old bank and had a simple and casual look. Looking forward to trying more meals here...

I used to live literally across Vi-anne in one of the apartment units on Lipton St. All I can say is their food is superb. Service is very friendly and pays attention to your requests. They also offer catering food. I always order their crispy fried chicken and its the bomb! Shrimp curry, Pho which is very tasty especially the broth, shrimp rice rolls, and their platter meals which have hefty serving for a very reasonable price.
