The food was so delicious, we forgot to take pictures! My fiancé and I have had this on our must-try list since we got an ad in the mail and we finally swung by yesterday. We are so delighted we finally tried it! The food is amazing. This is a good place for people who are interested in Indian food but are weary of how spicy the dishes can be. Their dishes, particularly their butter chicken and samosas have a kick to them but very very mild. If that is still too spicy, it can be very easily countered by their yogurt sauce which is one of the creamiest I've had so far. Their tandoori chicken is tender. It falls apart with the slightest tug. Every bite is juicy and we'll flavoured. Their dessert won't disappoint. We particularly love Gulab Jamun, literally everywhere but my fiancé and I were both speechless after our first bite. They were so soft and delicately sweet. I wanted to eat the whole serving tray! Apart from the typical dishes we normally have at Indian restaurants, we also tried their Mango Lassi (I think it's spelled this way) ... It's this extra creamy smoothie that is just so addicting. Overall a wonderful experience. Their decor adds to the whole feel of the place. We will be back!

*edit* have been back a few times now. Food is consistently good. With taxes it looks like the meal was $22 something. I went with friends. Did not pay so not sure what the cost was. Food was good. I had 2 plates. There is a surcharge for wasted food. Everyone was very mindful of finishing their food and not over taking for that reason. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have that charge because waste is bad. I did ironically get too much to eat, but no they didn't charge me (it wasn't a lot left over but some). I believe the charge listed was $3-$10? They had a decent variety. Naan bread was included with the meal. They had 3 kinds of chicken (tandoori, butter and spicy) as well as goat and the other vegetarian kinds. I took a picture of the buffet line so you can see there are a number of items. The space is very comfortable. The service was average. The people seemed nice, but we didn't interact with them that much.

First time experience - Entered the Restaurant with the receptionist cleaning the carpets with loud vacumn and did not stop or pause throughout our visit. Operational hours on google derivative apps are 11.30 to 9pm The glasses were dusty and the jug of water presented has bit and crums of things in it. Asking a seperate glass for water ended us with glasses from nearby table with similar condition of them being disty as well. Food was unacceptable and raw( raw dough on the inside). We ordered 2 orders of veg samosa and both were raw on the inside. When the samosa We ended up leaving the store without eating anything and dined at Subway across the store

I was very displeased going to Charisma at lunch time. The first time I went with my 18 month old who is obviously eats like one. I was shocked that they charge half the price of the buffet (which isn't cheap!) for a kid in a high chair! I'm not an over eater, so I didn't get more because he ate too. I think they are money hungry! Second time was a long time later because it finally occurred to me to try again and just order from the menu. This time I brought my little one again - now 22 months and my 4 year old. My children ate beautifully off of my one order. I was so impressed! The food was mediocre, nothing special. When going to pay, the same unkind server woman as the last time said "Next time I will charge you $5 for rice on the floor." Well, I told her exactly what I think of her service: 'You give lousy service and you are stingy, and that is why we don't come for the buffet. You want to charge me extra when we didn't even eat "extra". No where else we go does that (which is true). You lost a customer!' She wanted to charge me money when my children ate off of my plate and didn't get more. So she could even see that it's absurd to charge extra for children under 5 to eat at the buffet and she still wanted to charge me for NOTHING! There was some rice on the carpet, mostly under the high chair. I know it's not an issue because the first time I brought them was in the evening for the buffet and my child spilled a plate of rice and the owner came by with a push vacuum and a smile and said it was no problem at all. He proceeded to clean it up and I was actually amazed that it didn't seem like a problem - at all! Even though he seems nice, I question why he has a stingy unkind woman working there during the day. If I ever see him (and it won't be because I dine there again - with anyone) I will let him know how he's running his restaurant poorly. Lastly, this was all after my children did a beautiful dance around the restaurant after their meal, which in my opinion brought positive light energy to the...

This is a glowing review for Mitesh and his team at Charisma of India. My wife and I were recently married. It was a beautiful week of ceremonies and celebration that was easily the best moment of my life. Charisma catered our Hindu Wedding Ceremony and made sure that our expectations, and those of our guests, were exceeded at every step.

We were married during the second summer of the COVID pandemic. Public safety guidelines were changing every few weeks and we faced a lot of uncertainty in terms of putting on our event. While we were blessed to host all of our locally-based guests, we had to plan for every reality, even if that meant a wedding of ten people. Mitesh worked closely with us to make sure that our menu offerings would fit our location and would be fresh, that every dietary restriction could be accommodated, and that every beverage need would be met. Perhaps most importantly, food service was under particular focus of the law because of the pandemic – Mitesh and his team stayed on top of every change to make sure that our event could proceed without risking the safety of our guests.

Fortunately, we were able to host 150 guests at an outdoor location. With the support of Charisma and other vendors, we reconfigured our Wedding plan to fit a site at Assiniboine Park. Mitesh’s careful planning made sure that we didn’t have any issues related to food, waste removal, or service more generally. Virtually every guest told us that their dining experience was the finest Indian cuisine they ever had - we couldn’t agree more.

With Mitesh and the team at Charisma of India, I knew that I wouldn’t need to worry about anything in terms of our guest’s dining experience. They are extremely organized and their process can help you host your event beyond your every expectation. The Charisma experience is second to none and we strongly recommend their services to you for your next celebratory event. Mitesh will make sure that every moment is memorable – in the way...

Today me and my friend went to Charisma of India for the dinner buffet. It was our first visit to this place and we were very excited as it is known for one of the best Indian cuisine in Winnipeg, Manitoba. But What we have experienced today, totally shattered our expectations. While we were having our food, the manager suddenly came and the first thing he said to us was " PLEASE DO NOT WASTE THE FOOD, I HAVE ALREADY WRITE IT DOWN EVERYWHERE. YOU CAN TAKE FOOD AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT BUT DO NOT WASTE THE FOOD" . Though we were not wasting any food at all! His approach was not that good but still I took it very lightly because whatever he said has valid point. So I smiled and replied very politely that "YES OF COURSE , NO ONE SHOULD WASTE HIS OR HER FOOD. Till this it can be considered that everything is okay but what he said after that, I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT AT ALL. In reply he said that "YOU KNOW, PEOPLE FROM POOR COUNTRY WASTE THE FOOD MOST, SO DON'T WASTE THE FOOD" . Yes you read it right. He mentioned the word "POOR" This statement from the manager left us totally shocked. We just finished the food and decided to leave the place as soon as possible. Though we were not wasting any food at all, still this kind of racist comment is not tolerable at all. We paid our bill, and gave 30 dollars tips to the cashier which made her happy. Then said to her that '' PLEASE TELL YOUR MANAGER THAT PEOPLE FROM POOR COUNTRY HAVE BIGGER HEARTS". And then we left the place as quick as possible.

So the bottom line is, People are spending their money for a better service. Instead of doing that, you guys are showing such kind of racism with customers.Nobody gave you the right to judge me from where I belong. Nobody gave you the right to talk about me and my country without knowing me properly. It is not tolerable at all. I am never visiting this place which is spreading racism other than...
