I JUST WANT TO BE HONEST !!!

Sorry but this place was one of my worst experience of Vietnamese/Chinese food.

I do not understand how the owner will charge to customer with this kind of food?

SHRIMP FRIED RICE- Few pieces of small(baby) shrimp in the rice and made with soy sauce. What is this??

BEEF BROCCOLI- So salty and few pieces of beef in it. ??? It's not beef Broccoli !!!

LOBSTER FRIED RICE- Are u joking?? Where is lobster and it's only add soy sauce. Not even fried rice.

SHRIMP DISH-There are only 4 shrimps. Sauce is made with something I never been taste before. It taste nasty... sorry but it was nasty.

I spent $60 but after my family eat for 5 minutes, we throw into trash can.

I think a owner should strongly think about his recipe because it taste nasty.

Please think seriously, because you are charging customers with high price for your menu. And taste is OMG....

Seeing as I once worked at this place ( mind you, it was 15ish years ago), I definitely expected better. Decided I would stop in and grab takeout so I wouldn't have to cook when I got home, and it had been a few years since I last had Thanh Van's. The menu had changed, and I didn't notice. So my dinner for two was without chicken balls. My fault for presuming it was the same menu all this time. However, the lettuce in the soup was brown and tasted bad. There was more lettuce than anything else other than broth. 3 small wongtons, no meat. The ribs were 80% fat and very bland with little taste. This chicken fried rice was more rice with not even enough chicken to make a nugget. Needless to say, for the price versus what I got, this will be my last time eating...

My wife and I have recently moved to the Canterbury, N.B. area and have been eating at the other guys' place until we found this peace of heaven. The outside lights have always been off, so we did not know they were even here. Well, well, well...this place has much better food and the taste is wonderful. I think we should have had the buffet, but we went with a couple of diner combinations and went home to eat. We had so much food left over that we were able to put together a plate for tomorrow.
