Sunday Dec 15 around 1pm. Placed my order on the kiosk and stood in the lobby to wait. They were averaging delivery of about 1 meal every 7 minutes, I gave it 15 whole minutes before I had to ask for a refund and leave as I only have a 30 minute lunch break. I just want to thank the management for having such a poorly trained and rude staff at this location, and for making me go back to work for the rest of the day STARVING! There were only 1 or 2 competent employees on a shift of about 12 people. By the time I left both drive through lanes were backed up to the street.
This is one of the poorest McDonald's experiences I've ever had and I've been occasionally enjoying McDonald's for 50 years. I will never waste my time coming to this location ever again. Good luck Elmira if this is the only location in town you guys are all screwed.
Finally received a response from management at this location and apparently being a little loud is not tolerated even though they take 20+mins to deliver a mcdouble combo (AFTER the order has been paid for) the response went something like:
"Had it been dealt with in a civil matter, I would normally ask for your contact to attempt to retry the situation in the future in a better light. I will not be doing this for you today. As a result of this, we would like to ask that we take separate paths moving forwards, and advise that you take a different avenue for food service in the future."
Don't waste your time spending money at this location. It's not worth it for anyone. 20 mins for a mcdouble combo and the same "kitchen manager" that was responsible for the poor service was the person responsible to answer the complaint.... Seems fishy, doubt the general manager or owner are aware of their kitchen manager's actions and poor management of the shift on...
Read moreMcDonald's the place to take children or is it? Myself, my sister, and my five children, aged 6, 4, 2, and 10 months (×2) had enjoyed a lovely morning at the park and decided it was time for lunch. We arrived at McDonald's where my sister escorted 4 of the above mentioned children to the dinningroom while I held the fifth and proceeded to order for everyone. Upon payment of the order, I went to put my infant in a highchair, to have my hands free to carry all of this food. When I saw my sister still holding my other infant, she indicated she couldn't find any highchairs. I returned to the front counter and inquired about getting a couple high chairs and was told there were none available related to high touch surfaces and COVID concerns. Upon hearing this I inquired, with the manager, what she thought would be appropriate for me to do with two 10 month old children, as placing them on the floor would be a greater health risk than using a sanitized highchair. She indicated we could sit outside, horrified that someone would suggest I sit in a busy parking lot with two mobile infants and a two year old, I requested a refund. During which time I explained that if there is a process for appropriate sanitization of tables and chairs for other patrons there must be a process that could be utilized for high chairs as well. The manager gave no response to this. I have a hard time believing the entire McDonald's corporation would actively discriminate against parents of infants by not having a policy and/or procedure to clean highchairs for customer use and have them available, despite the current pandemic. Incredibly dissatisfied and will travel the extra distance to any other fast food establishment...
Read moreI have visited this McDonald's location a few times and have never been very impressed with my experiences. I personally find the dining room dated, cold, and uncomfortable. I enjoy dipping my fries in mayonnaise. I have never been able to get a complimentary packet. Trying to charge a customer $0.30 for a packet of mayonnaise is the definition of cheap. As a customer, that does not make me feel valued. The service doesn't even stand out as being very good. I completed the customer satisfaction survey found on the back of the receipt. As is the norm, for those who don't know, McDonald's sends a coupon via email for a free medium fries and a free medium fountain drink with the purchase of one of the eligible sandwiches. I presented this coupon to the cashier at this location and then to her manager because she was unfamiliar with the coupon. The manager told me that I needed to print the coupon out and leave it with them for their records. I had to ask for his name because he wasn't wearing a name tag. "Robbie," he said. I explained that I don't have a printer, that the coupon does not say on it anywhere that it has to be printed, and that about a hundred other McDonalds' that I have visited have never had an issue with me showing them the coupon on my cell phone. In a last attempt, I asked Robbie if I could email the coupon to the store. He said that he couldn't accept an email from me and that it had been this way at this location for the last six years. I found Robbie difficult and unreasonable. I will drive a little bit further moving forward to the McDonald's in Fergus. The staff is much friendlier there and the overall...
