Husband ordered the double smash burger with side poutine with pop and added a classic Quebec poutine for myself. $30 for our purchase. The burger was one patty broken in two. I questioned it and the cashier said "that's just how we make them, one patty smashed on the grill and cut in two." She discussed with the cook and confirms thats just how they make a double smash patty. OK, that's misleading. Poutine gravy was ok probably premade/powder mix. Fries were gross, overcooked and the oil needs to be changed. Same amount of curds on the side poutine as on the full sized. I was also gifted a black hair, from the cook, in my poutine. (Husband is blonde and I'm a redhead so its not ours) It was a staggering 40 minute wait for this meal. The server forgot my husband's pop which was supposed to be included with his "double smash burger combo". Cashier/server unwilling to fix issues or offer refund.

Fun, Filling, Friendly, Foodtruck, Food! Fancy-not. Some fun and unique combinations served in a fun setting. Buffalo Tuscan poutine, Taco Pizza, and tall Canuck burger were all great! I want to go back and try the rest of the poutine combinations. Prices are reasonable, similar to The Works. Crazy Canuck beer was just ok and typical. Counter service but fresh made and brought to your table, the staff were friendly and accomodating. In trying to describe it, it seems like the building was built around a food truck with the same sort of vibe. Good in that it's fun, but obviously not as clean or refined. I think the other location in town is more refined. Good outdoor picnic bench eating area. Hours are shorter too, closing at 8pm. Right across from the St. Jacobs market and outlet, and beside TSC. Lots of parking. Overall I gave it a 5 but the rest of my family said it was 4.

This place is worth going to. Prices are decent and the food is pretty good! I've only been here for the first time today. I had the "Best Burger" with a side of poutine. The burger was really good and the poutine was even better. The real star of the meal was the fries - super delicious! There was a bit too much gravy for my liking but it was some good gravy and the fries and cheese curds made it very delicious. The decor is pretty nice. It has an old style with records and their album art decorating the walls. There aren't as many indoor tables as outdoor tables which may be an issue during bad weather. I haven't been there during busy times but I can imagine it could get crowded at times. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. All in all, I highly recommend giving The Crazy Canuck a try.

The food at The Crazy Canuck never disappoints! But the Waterloo location has some issues with staff. I hope the owner/manager reads this. I have been to the Weber Street location twice in the past few months, and the employees working in the evening very clearly try to deter customers. When I tried to order takeout a few months ago, an employee answered and put me on hold for 20 minutes. I was nearby so I decided to drive over and order in the restaurant, while still staying on hold in case he got back on the line. When I entered the restaurant and told the gentleman that I have been on hold for 20 minutes and blocking the phoneline (as my friend had tried to call them, too, but because I was on hold, nobody could get through), he apathetically said "oh", hung up the phone, and asked me what I wanted to order. Because of this bad experience, I didn't go back for quite a while, but decided to give them another try recently. I dined in this time, and I noticed that the employee turned off the street-facing "Open" sign an hour before close. As I was leaving about five minutes later, I heard the phone ring and one of the two men working said to the other "don't answer it!" It seems that they do this sort of thing frequently to try to discourage customers from ordering. With the first takeout incident, I had thought maybe they had just forgotten I was on hold, but I worry these practices happen frequently and will eventually put this location out of business. As I said, the food is always fantastic here, but I can only give two stars as these employees very clearly try to stop people from being able to place orders and start shutting down an hour before close. It's obvious that they want to keep people out. It's quite sad because it's such a great place to go and it used to be one of my favourites! It can be uncomfortable feeling so unwelcome there, but mainly, I'm concerned that eventually, this restaurant will lose enough customers and shut down. It's sad that that may happen to a local business all because of negligent staff. I will not be going...

Extremely disappointed in the quality and service under the new ownership. Today I went for lunch with 2 co-workers and 2/3 of the orders were incorrect. They made my pizza wrong, and offered me the wrong one at the till when I was paying. I accepted in lieu of a discount since I figured my husband would eat the incorrect pizza. When our order came up, I was informed the manager wouldn’t let them give me the incorrect pizza. I questioned them and asked why, since they had already promised me and didn’t give me a discount or any other compensation for getting the order wrong. The guy at the register just shrugged. When we sat down to eat, we discovered my co-worker’s veggie pizza was covered in meat. We complained and they told us we were wrong. We looked at it again and it very clearly had pepperoni and lots of chopped up ham and bacon. The manager aggressively came out to our table and finally agreed to make her a new one. Then he came back a few minutes later with her money. I asked where my money was, since I didn’t get a discount or the wrong pizza they had originally made. He said it was our fault because we didn’t order it properly. We know we ordered it properly. I overheard my co-worker place the order and confirm the ingredients (and it was actually the person at the register who flagged that it wasn’t right in the first place). It became clear that we had caught him in a lie so he begrudgingly refunded my money too. A takeout order that was placed at 11:35 that was supposed to be ready at 12:10 took until 1:00 and I had to reschedule a meeting because we had to wait so long. I’ve eaten here dozens of times over the years under the old management and now I will not go back. Also, my crazy Canuck pizza had no pulled pork on it, which was listed...

Fun restaurant with a variety of creative burgers, sandwiches, poutines and pizzas. Sometimes the creativity works and other times it does not.

I had the brisket hoagie which was delicious. The BBQ sauce was very bold, the meat tender and the bun excellent. While the banana peppers added welcome acid to cut through the wonderful cheese and grease, the decision to deep fry them was unnecessary and they ended up being soggy mush.

As my side I got the Po' Boy Poutine. The portion was very generous for a side which I was pleased by. When I read the description on the menu I said to myself "there is no way that will work!" but I love trying new and unexpected things and being surprised and delighted by them. Unfortunately I was right in this case. The fried shrimp was very very salty, and combined with the cajun cream sauce it was overwhelming even for me who loves salty food. The cream sauce was heavy and didn't add anything to the fries, and the coleslaw on top didn't cut through the heaviness the way I hoped, it was just a confusing cold mess. I would not recommend it. All of the ingredients were good on their own, they just absolutely did not work together so I look forward to trying other things here.

The restaurant has the feel of being build in an old garage or warehouse, and indoor seating is limited. It is a great place to sit outdoors when the weather is nice, but can be really crowded when the...
