My wife and I went in there for an early breakfast because it was the only place open (8:00a.m.) other than fast food joints. BIG MISTAKE!
We should have gone anywhere else rather than spend our money at Jungle Jims.
First off the greeter/waitress/server was obviously bored, tired, and not into her job at all. I asked for a coffee and my wife had tea. The tea? Meh...she was not impressed at all.
The coffee? Astringent, bitter, and acidic on the tongue. I poured in 4 little containers of 18% cream and the coffee was still undrinkable. I added two more little containers of milk - no improvement at all. I left the coffee only having taken two sips.
After perusing the menu, my wife decided that she did not want to eat their food. Given that there was nowhere else to go (at that time of the morning) I ordered a Western Omelet, figuring that my wife could have a bite or two if she wanted.
The omelet was touted as being a "3 egger" filled with red and green peppers and ham and "mixed cheeses".
When it got to the table it looked anemic - with the whites and the yolk barely mixed together. Plus it was small, flat, and tasteless. The "hashbrowns" were just small cubes of potatoes that were deep fried and then heavily salted. The "Texas toast" barely qualified as being thick cut, never mind "Texas" size. Oh, and it was stone cold.
I nibbled at what was on the plate - my wife tried a couple of the potatoes. We got out of there a.s.a.p.!
both of us will be going to "Rotten Ronnies" should we find ourselves in that...
Read moreCouldn't get out of here fast enough..... actually still waiting, aparently the 5 tables and 3 staff is too much to handle. Waitress didnt know what which wine was white or red, not one person asked how my appetizer was, dropped off my smallest portion of dinner I have seen in a long time and didn't even get to eat my "splurge" loaded baked potato because the butter was hard as a rock. I will never visit here again. Had the same meal at Jungle Jims in Gander, NL just 4 days ago and it was amazing ..... was so excited to have it again. And now again will never happen again. Even after letting the waitress know my butter was hard and then taking my plate away with complete baked potato, bill still had it on. Never ever again. Boston Pizza is less then a minute away for when I travel to Yarmouth 5 times a year. This should not be Server: Jessica's occupation .... and on a side note, I could have done without all the face...
Read moreUsed to be one of my favorite places to take the kids to eat, but after taking my daughter there to eat after her hockey game I'm sad to say I won't be back. She got a kids cheese pizza, was clearly boxed pizza and didn't come fully cooked, and she only ate 2 bites, I ordered us potatoe skins for an app. They come with next to no toppings and potatoes was soggy, I had French onion soup as it used to be the best in town (I couldn't even gag it down it was horrible) and I had a pesto chicken sandwich, and when that came with what looked to be a cut up chicken finger on it. That was it. And my bill for me and her came to $49.43 for food that we wasn't even able to...
