Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Yorkton

Me and my wife go here all the time, always went to the restaurant side but recently now sticking to the lounge side, waiters are most of the time awesome. Only had one time we went that the waitress was more of a 2-3 star compared to the 5 star servers we usually get. Always sit at the booth beside the bar. We decided to try and get that spot every time we go there as it’s easy to get a waitress attention if you need something but even then we haven’t had to ask for hardly anything, as the servers were on top of it. Reason I give a 4 star is a couple times out of the many times we went there the food just seemed off from normal. Fettuccine Alfredo with a chicken breast is my go to and my wife got the 7 cheese ravioli. With a B bread starter. Galaxy fish bowls are my wife’s favourite. Always gets them and they always look great! People take their anger out on “poor service” from the waiters. But from what I saw the one time I went the waitress at the time was the only one on duty and had to eat their supper behind the bar while also maintaining the bar. Seen this twice actually but the first time shocked me that BPs can’t get another bartender to work the bar so if one needs a break, they can. Waiting tables is a hard job as it is but these bartenders need some breaks as well. That really disappointed me with the establishment. So before people are complaining about the workers there. Just know they are putting in long shifts and yes it’s still tiring. Left a good tip for her atleast cause my wife and I knew she was stressed and hoped it would help her through the night. Waited almost an hour for our food, the salad was subpar, appetiser came half way through the meal due to " a problem" that made them restart it from scratch after asking 3 times for where it was and was not served with the right dip. Drinks were forgotten, was offered a comp on an item that was already free due to a coupon through days inn and when told that a manager would discount something else nothing ever was.

Kids desert that should of came with the food was never prepared until we asked for it. We got our entire food order in stages far after larger parties came after us and left way before us. Worst Boston Pizza experience I have ever had, the only reason you are even getting one star is your server was polite and pleasant although I am assuming she was new. The manager didn't seem to care until I mentioned the discount I didn't receive then our problems became their priority but by then the experience was so crappy we just wanted to go back to our hotel.

Looking now at the smattering one star reviews your establishment has been getting for similar issues I am not surprised by our experience. If you are going to put a canned apology as a reply to try to get me to put my bad review on your Boston Pizza page instead of here don't bother. Either own your mistake as a real person and not a PR bot or don't bother.

I don't want anyone to get into trouble so don't take this bad review out on our server she was doing her best and I still tipped her a little even after everything. But for a 20.00 average per plate and a final bill of over 150.00 I felt a bit robbed. I hope you learn from this and others are spared from the experience...

We came in late on our bus on the way home. We decided to eat at Boston Pizza because they have great hours and delicious meals. I am not going to lie. The service started off Rocky. The waitress took a long time to take our drink order and the restaurant was closing. All we wanted to do was have a few drinks, a nice meal and relax after that long ride. The waitress started to make us feel uncomfortable about ordering our drinks. I told her that we just wanted to eat and that we were tired and going straight to bed. We’re natives so we don’t get tipsy from 3-4 drinks lol. She came around thank God… Also she asked some really “funny” questions. I don’t drink so I ordered another milk with my meal. She says “ you know sir, milk refills aren’t free “ lol 😆 I have never been to a restaurant in my whole life where milk was free… Bahahahaha Also when we made our food order I ordered a hot Italian sausage pizza. The waitress asked me “ so you want sausage only “ I laughed 😆. “No” I want cheese on there too… wow I thought some things were obvious or maybe she just had a weird sense of humour? The food and drinks were awesome 😎. The food was super fast, one of the quickest service meals I’ve ever had. Afterwards the waitress seemed to change and started being more normal. We were taking a picture of our group for memories and she volunteered to help us and took a wonderful picture. I guess that’s why I moved the stars for service from 3 to 4. If she hadn’t of been off from the start I would’ve given her 5. Great atmosphere and wicked hours. Thanks Boston Pizza for making our last meal together memorable....
