I came here for dinner and was warmly welcomed by Julia, who is one of the friendliest staff members I’ve ever met. Honestly, the owner should give her a raise or even a promotion!
I asked if the chef was Chinese, and Julia told me no, but when she saw me hesitate, she immediately added that the chef is very skilled. That convinced me to sit down and try the food. She even turned on the air conditioning for me — such a thoughtful gesture.
I ordered the cold wood ear mushroom salad and Dì Sān Xiān (stir-fried potato, eggplant, and green pepper). The salad was excellent — they even added a touch of sugar to bring out the flavor, just like a dish made by a chef trained in China. The Dì Sān Xiān was also tasty, and I asked for a bit of oyster sauce to enhance the flavor. The rice was perfectly seasoned with just a hint of salt — you can tell how good it was by how clean my plate was at the end!
Julia’s service was impeccable: she cleared plates promptly and even asked if I wanted ice cream after the meal. The owner is really lucky to have such a dedicated and attentive employee.
