Café do Mar — Restaurant in Boa Vista

We went there on the 1st of January when a lot of restaurants were closed so Cafe do Mar was more than full (and maybe a bit overwhelmed) The staff was clearly too busy but despite that they manage to made us very welcome When ordering pizza we were told that that would lead to a long wait so we changed our orders to grilled fish and praw skewers and barbecued chicken it we were served very quickly and the food was VERY nice ! Bonus points for the grilled vegetables and the nice local rice. My advice to all the other customers waiting - engage with your waitering staff - they want the best...

Ordered a pizza and swapped sausage for pineapple the pizza came out wasn’t cooked fully and no pineapple when confronted about the pineapple missing the woman went to the kitchen and then just came back and avoided eye contact I didn’t eat the pizza as it was very dry had no taste at all I ordered the chocolate cake to takeaway which was very nice but she gave us a very small portion which I believe is because we didn’t like the food most probably will...

Fantastic. Good variety of food. Mrs had steak, I had spaghetti bollagnese both really tasty n fresh. Red n white wines Portuguese n very tasty (large measures!). Atmosphere chilled/relaxed.
