It is so much more than a museum. Yes, it is a collection of artifacts that piece together the Cape Verde history and particularly Boa Vista but the knowledge and passion of the owner who has gathered these items brings them to life. I left feeling that my life had been somewhat univentful and wasted compared with his. I can recommend a visit here to anyone who is interested in how the colonialists pillaged the world. My children have learnt more on this visit than anything taught at school. To see real artefacts used to shackle the slaves really brought home the brutality of man in this world.
