Churrasqueira Sal Rei — Restaurant in Boa Vista

A gem of a restaurant in Sal Rei. Although staying in an all inclusive hotel, we have decided that the local economy should also benefit from our holiday on this beautiful island. The driver we had booked for our half day island sight seeing, had suggested this place for lunch and we were not disappointed. Access is up a four flight of stairs which might be challenging for those who are physically impaired, but my elderly Mother (88 yrs old) did manage them. Lovely view of the harbour and sea. Mother was very pleased with her vegetarian pasta with mixed vegetables. Wife, Son and I opted for BBQ tuna, BBQ pork all with mixed vegetables and rice, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. All so delicious and filling and the prices are very reasonable too. The service was very friendly and outstanding. Can definitely...

An absolutely brilliant restaurant. Normally you either find a good Churrasqueira with bad service, or good service and bad food. This gets everything right and such a shame it's not obvious from the street and up two flights of stairs. This is my fourth CV island and as good as any restaurant I have visited in Cabo Verde, if not in London where I live.

The lady who served today was exceptional in her promptness and politeness. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavours (please choose vegetables with your grill) and BBQd right in front of you on the roof with an authentic taste of fresh grilling.

Everyone who worked there seemed to be eager to please and make customers feel welcome. This must be as good as any restaurant on Boa Vista and I hope people leave their all inclusive resorts...
