Hotel Boa Vista — Hotel in Boa Vista

The hotel is very typical resort hotel where you do have to stay all the time as there is nothing else to do on the Island anyway :D So the services, food and drinks are bad as they could be because there is nowhere else to go to even compare it to anything else. The room was ok, there were no blankets - only sheets .. what we found very nice was the way the bed has been made every morning .. The restaurant for all inclusive all day long meals was fine but nothing interesting - the food has not changed and on second day we got poisoned by tuna fish which not been done properly and we spent the rest of our vacation on toilette .. :D the drinky - all inclusive - alcoholic??? hahaha .. all of them tasted the same. Very very very baaad. After few days I would do anything to get some proper meal and drinks. The beach was very nice but so windy that we could not swim anyway. Because of the bad stomach we could not move far away from the resort's pool. We took two trips - both acutally very cool. Staff friendly but not really intertaining. First I would like to say thank you to Paul Cruz in reception this chap is fantastic and should be a manager!||This hotel is advertised has 5star this is not 5 star its more like 3 start the hotel pools seem to be not cleaned at times and old food and cups left near the pools the room need attention and what is not advertised is that you can not go in the sea as it is red flag all the time with no life guard on duty. the wifi is a joke your lucky if you can get a good connection ie for emails and media. overall this holiday spoilt my honeymoon and done nothing but upset my wife on a daily basis. Regarding the food, for the 2 weeks I was there the same dishes was out every day and night the food was dry over cooked and tasteless. I have been to a few 5 star hotels and believe me this hotel is a nightmare think twice before going. The staff at the hotel are very nice and always around with a smile, reception is good too thank you to the staff at the hotel. but this does not warrant over £2000 holiday plus completely destroyed...

Basically resort is RUBBISH. Room is good although if your not lucky it could need a taxis to get to the main pool/ theatre or main resteraunt. Food is reasonable but quality is 4/10 and "theme" restaurants arer basically the same fare with a slight additional special dish. Beach is very nice but the red flag flew all 2 weeks so limited sea swimming. With probably 2000 people the entertainment was very basic and the sound system so bad anybody further back than 1/2 way quality was not good. Pool activities were good. Cocktails were from a machine and disgusting. Management was NEVER seen around. This hotel caters for the masses with litle respect for all around quality. Do not go during school as hundreds of children in the main pool leads to (sometimes obvious) hygiene concerns and disruptive very bad behavour (sometimes disgusting??) WIFI Very limted bandwith.
