Lovely Greek restaurant, with a strong Italian influence, offering a great ambience, good food and outstanding service. Why not 5 stars, then? Let me explain. While the front of house couldn't be better, with attentive, friendly and professional waiters, the kitchen is very, very slow. To the point that the waiter came to apologize for each dish taking so long to come out. Even more importantly, it seems that the quality of ingredients (impeccable) vastly outperforms the quality of preparation. A couple of examples: the pizza toppings were great, the dough not so much and it was dry and overcooked. The "sea breeze" seafood lasagna (best dish we tried) was brimful of excellent prawns and scallops, but the pasta sheets were rubbery. Overall, still recommended, especially for the pleasant atmosphere and the excellent servers, who will do the outmost to make you feel welcome and important, even bringing out wood embers to keep you toasty in the cooler winter nights (like almost every other restaurant in Iquique, Santorini Restobar does not have a fully...
Read moreMy favourite meal so far in Chile and the first time I’ve had 3 courses. The slow cooked lamb was melt in the mouth delicious beautifully flavoured with fresh herbs. The feta stuffed meatballs equally mouth watering. All of the produce is fresh and crisp and served with a little bit of flair. The service was excellent. Friendly, welcoming and left you to enjoy but magically appeared when needed. The setting is a surprise. Just off a major junction but step inside and you’re in a gorgeous secret garden. Even the other guests made this visit a treat. A family celebrating the matriarch’s birthday took time to welcome us to Chile and talk to...
Read moreThis restaurant is a must if you go to Iquique! The atmosphere is super cozy and everyone there was really nice. They did not only have Greek food, but also Peruvian Pizza and special deserts. Me and my friend went there two times during our stay in Iquique and we would have loved to come more often and try everything on their menu! It‘s very vegetarian and pescatarian friendly and vegetarian or gluten-free food is easily recognizable because of the use of symbols. There are also English cards where you can read up all of the ingredients as a non-Spanish speaker. That’s why in our opinion Santorini Restobar is a great experience...
