Hilton Garden Inn Iquique — Hotel in Iquique

I stayed at the hotel for almost a week and after some days I washed my cloth at the laundry. Unfortunately, the machine was wrong connected, and everything became damaged.||The manager was call by the receptionist and she arrived very soon, giving apologizes and explaining that the hotel would try to make amends for the problem. The day after, she did call to offer a compensation and I accepted.||When arriving at home, I realized that the damage had been big, but It was ok because I had had a good time and I’ve been compensated.||The hotel architecture is modern. Glass walls aren’t my first option, but it’s very nice. The room's view is great, you can see the sea, the sunrise and sunset.||The building is very well located, near supermarkets, restaurants, cafeterias, the beaches, malls, the casino and other facilities. Besides, you can just walk by the beautiful beaches and enjoy the view and the sound of the sea.||I would rather have had windows that can be open in the room, however the air conditioner worked very well.||The room and the bathroom are big, so is very comfortable, but I would have chosen some clearer colors.||The dining room at first floor is modern and has a good view of the street, which is very interesting when visiting the city. ||There is breakfast buffet each morning, with a lot of food and a good variety of fruits, breads and eggs.||They also offer a good menu at lunch, tea and for dinner, very gourmet.||I recommend this hotel and I would...

Hotel moderno y decoración agradable, de fácil acceso, excelente ubicación, con maravillosa vista a playa de Cavancha. Personal muy atento y con un trato muy cordial. Respecto de las tarifas, verifiquen bien lo que incluye, hay una que no considera el desayuno y hay que pagarlo aparte. Salidas de emergencia bien señaladas y mapas de evacuación claros.

Acceso a los estacionamientos y los mismos lugares para dejar los vehículos, son bastante estrechos para camionetas.

Restaurant y bar en primer piso, comida agradable, buen servicio. Precios altos ($23.430 por un lomo vetado con arroz blanco y 2 coca colas en lata, propina incluida) , considerando que en la península que está al frente tiene mucha variedad de lugares para elegir y de todos los precios. Es cosa de curzar la calle.

De las habitaciones todas dan hacia el poniente, alfombradas de muro a muro, de buen tamaño, son como un pequeño departamento con 1 dormitorio amplio con una cama que permite un buen dormir. El baño muy cómodo y de buen tamaño (lástima que no cuenta con tina, para relajarse después del viaje). Decoración minimalista agradable que no cae en excesos y de colores que invitan a descansar. Pará mí gusto le falta algo para hacerlo más acogedor, como si uno estuviera en casa.

No tuve oportunidad de subir a revisar los espacios comunes de la terraza en la azotea, donde se supone tiene un gym y piscina con vista panorámica.

19 enero - UPGRADE DE MI RESEÑA ORIGINAL Después de haber escrito la parte inicial de esta reseña, de un día largo de trabajo y 300Km de manejo, me topé con dos situaciones que me llevaron a bajar la alificacion de 4 a 2 estrellas, que son: 1.- Me quise dar una ducha después de haber estado todo el día trabajando en terreno, y el agua caliente no salía nunca. Llamé a recepción para consultar si había algún problema y me responde que sí y que habían sido informados por otros pasajeros del problema de falta de agua caliente. Le expliqué que venía de terreno y esperaba poder tomar una ducha con agua caliente, y la respuesta fue inesperada "lo sentimos, el técnico ya no está en el hotel, así es que va a tener que esperar hasta mañana"(strike 1), cuando le pido hablar con el gerente me dice "no se preocupe que estoy dejando su aviso en registro para que el gerente lo vea mañana" (strike 2) y para mas remate me pregunta "¿hay algo más que podamos hacer para que su estadía sea más grata?"(strike 3)...respuestas NO acorde a un hotel de esta categoría.

2.- Aquí viene el segundo mal rato. Pará pasar el trago amargo y la ducha de agua fría, prendí uno de los TV y al ir cambiando de canal, algunos de ellos no tenían sonido🤦🏼‍♂️

Hoy 20 de enero debo agradecer a la gerencia del hotel, que después de haber leído mi reseña y Upgrade de la misma, amablemente me solicitaron una reunión donde se me presentaron las excusas por la respuesta recibida y las explicaciones del porqué se habían producido estos infortunios. Por cierto, a primera hora del día me pude duchar con agua caliente.

Se agradece que se hayan tomado el tiempo en dar las explicaciones y haber ofrecido las disculpas pertinentes, lo que me da una clara señal que se preocupan por sus invitados, por lo que les vuelvo a dar las 4 estrellas originales. Muchas gracias a...

We stayed here on our way back from Arica and Putre because the Gavina Sens was full. The Hilton Garden Inn is a 2 minute walk from Playa Cavancha and right across the street from the peninsula with all the bars and restaurants. It is however right on top of the main drag and roundabout, explaining why the architects went with floor to ceiling windows that do not open rather than balconies. Still, we had a great view of the ocean and beach from our 7th floor room. Breakfast was outstanding, but the gym was very basic and the 11th floor pool was tiny and overwhelmed you with the smell of chlorine from 100 ft away. Our room was generally quite comfortable and the bathroom was large and modern. But our mattress was horrible! It was high in the middle and low on the sides. Conrad Hilton would not have agreed to be buried on it. If not for the mattress, I would have given the Hilton Garden...
