Doña Filomena - Pizzería Restaurant Bar Delivery — Restaurant in Iquique

Not the worst experience, but if hunger kicks in, I wouldn't ever recommend this place in busy hours.

Wifey & me were craving for some fish. As we came late lunch hours we couldn't eat at our favorite restaurant so we decided to give this place a 2nd chance.

This is a very well-known place in Iquique, often busy on weekends. The place is nice and welcoming and as loud as in can get depending on the people, but just like any local restaurant.

The food ain't that bad, the problem is the waiting. I won't ever recommend this place on busy hours.

The order was: As starters 2 fried empanadas, and 2 grilled fish with rice and fries as side dishes, respectively. The empanadas didn't take long (~15 min), the center was fridge cold. Might be pre-cooked/fried, but they were still tasty and filled to the brim (And we were hungry :v).

The waiting came from the main dish... It took almost 1 hour for our plates to be delivered, we had our hopes up, but they got the order wrong, and we had to wait another 30 min to be served. When they arrived, both dishes were cold. The fries were a bit overcooked, but still cold and soggy, the rice was ok. And the fish was meh at best, nothing out of the ordinary, maybe a bit to oily(?) But that depends on consumer taste. The portions were a bit undeserving considering the price per dish (~ $18 USD a dish).

This is the 2nd time this happened, last time around 1hr wait but the food wasn't this bad. Besides 1.5 hours for a grilled fish with rice and fries(?). Before we left, I talked to the manager and she replied with mere sorry and said nothing else. So that was it.

Overall, it was a bad eating experience, but this happened on busy hours (lunch time 13~16). I don't have experience in other time frames, some say the food & service is great and so, but too bad i didn't get it.

Buena ubicación y estacionamiento para bicicletas. Buena atención de los mozos y música correcta para conversar. Platos ricos pero ninguno para volver a repetir. La atención es su tiempo, ni muy rápido ni tanta demora. Entregan rico pan con salsas para la espera. Los postres vienen en envases plásticos, yo los prefiero recién hechos. Las veces q fui no tenían los platos q yo quería y poca variedad de cervezas. Precio accesible. Platos abundantes. Comimos rico, pero al momento de pagar me acerco a la caja para pagar con la app de sodexo y me dijeron que no la recibían. 😨😰 Menos mal tenía otra tarjeta para pagar, sino nose qué hacía xq no me dieron ninguna opción ni disculpas x el mal entendido. Fuí a Doña Filomena que está en el patio de comida de mall Zofri, con mi familia, Mí hija pidió pastas de Alfredo, mi marido un Corvina de la casa, el plato de mi esposo estaba rico, lo único que podría contribuir a ese plato es que como es con ensalada está lleve un aderezo o por último que coloquen limón, yo me peso un Ceviche a lo Rico pero, estaba incomible muy salado lo cambie dos veces por este mismo hecho, el tercer plato que me sirvieron no estaba saldo pero tampoco estaba rico su aderezó era insípido, no había pulpo, eso sí me lo advirtieron al momento de pedir, finalmente me comí el apio, el queso de cabra y los camarones que traía el plato, pero a mí que me encanta el ceviche este es el peor que me he comido en Iquique. La administración mal también por qué no les importa que un cliente se lleve una buena impresión del restaurante la parecer solo les importa que uno coma como salga el plato y pague.
