Sazón Peruana — Restaurant in Viña del Mar

Looked like a good place to sit outside and enjoy some yummy Peruvian food. When you sit down outside, the first thing you notice is that the chairs are pretty uncomfortable. But we wanted to be outside, so we persevered. They start you off with a little dish of toasted and salted corn kernels, very tasty. We ordered the fish ceviche as an appetizer, which was excellent and abundant. For entrees, my husband had chicken with a cheesy sauce which he thought was okay. I wanted Lomo Saltado, but the soy sauce they use has wheat in it so not gluten free. I ended up having something like short ribs over risotto. Not bad, but honestly way too rich. Let me say that “Sazón Peruana” in Viña del Mar has marvelled us to the core.

The food was simply delicious.

Saul Gonzalez out waiter was outstanding. Patito the chef was outerly amazing. Every single plate we ordered were exquisite.

My mom a chef herself, was simply amazed with her plate, to the point that chef Patio received two kisses from her.

A beautiful culinary experience it was indeed.

This is a very nice little restaurant. The menu offers many choices, mostly of Peruvian origins but also some Italian and some Italian-Peruvian fusion dishes. We went with friends on Sunday afternoon and were welcomed into an otherwise empty restaurant by an eager service staff. The restaurant was then completely full 30 minutes later. There was a very talented singer who sang over recorded music on the first floor. The restaurant itself is a two story house that is nicely decorated and has a patio with a few tables out front.
