The Bookworm is the only place in Chengdu offering regular cultural events, like stand-up comedy and literary talks. It's also a nice place to hang out for a drink with a more 'grown up' crowd than many of the other bars and...

Nice themed bar, like eating and drinking in a sociable library. Cheap, tasty food with a western emphasis. Not a great selection of drinks but good prices. Unobtrusive live music (jazz trio)....
