Tao Tao Ju Chang Di Dian — Restaurant in Guangzhou City

The first time we went for brunch, the service was very good. A gentleman served us even though the place was crowded. We enjoyed the food and the moment.

The 2nd time we went a few days later in the afternoon the place was not crowded and the young girl serving us was slacking. Wife requested help with the ordering which she circled the menu to indicate the items very quickly but an item was wrongly selected. She did not apologize when it was served and treat it as nothing. It is fine, we can't return nor cancel the item but the attitude is poor. Not a smile and she also talked back to another lady either a supervisor or senior as they wore different types of uniforms. Was surprised we were offered a table less than 5 mins. Food was mediocre although it was range one of the Michelin restaurant to go. We ordered mainly the dim sum abd food served was cold. Char Siew bun crust was overly thick, pork ribs having more fats then meat and the raving caviar Siew Mai was just normal. The normal Siew Mai might taste better then theirs. The only star that I could give was the design of the restaurant...

Excellent quality of dim sum served here, the best 虾饺 i have ever eaten here whereby the skin was thin with three prawns inside AND even had the prawn broth oozing out when u bite into it! Love the 红米肠粉and 烧卖here too. This dim sum house has been here since 光绪 years! so it has a long history of food and beautiful architecture...
