One of the most beautiful restaurants I've visited. The decor is tastefully done up to the traditional Chinese style, like a teahouse with rice wine urns, books, lantern. The food were awesome and so exquisitely presented. See my photos. All these hefty meal plus a jug of rice wine, fruit tea for 12pax came to 582 yuan. Check out their yummy century eggs with tofu presented like a piece of cake. Even for me who doesn't like century eggs like this dish. I visited Green Tea Restaurant expecting decent service, but it turned out to be a disaster. I ordered together with the table next to me, but only my food came out extremely late—with no apology or explanation.
When I asked for my drink, they claimed they already brought it. Excuse me? I was sitting right there. They just lied to my face.
On top of that, the staff were cold, unfriendly, and completely unwilling to communicate, especially with foreigners. I waved and called politely several times—they just looked the other way.
I’ve been to dozens of restaurants in China, and this is the most arrogant and customer-hostile place I’ve encountered. When I asked for a box for leftovers, they threw a plastic bag at me.
