i was quite disappointed with what we ordered which were roasted pork banh mi and shrimp rice paper roll.
first, for the banh mi, i like how they toasted the baguettes, it was crispy and fresh when they served it, and price was cheap too. However, the pork was not marinated enough with lemongrass and when i open the sandwich and check, its full of fat. also, i dont like that they put some pork sausage in there when there is a pork sausage banh mi option, whats the point for people to choose between roasted pork and pork sausage then? also, there’s not enough pickles inside which makes the banh mi lacking flavours.
As for the shrimp rice paper roll, i am disgusted by it honestly. Nuoc cham sauce was horrible, i’ve been to so many vietnamese restaurants and this is the worst, theres no garlic, lime, chili flavour, nor fish sauce, i could only taste sweetness… i expected the rolls are full of fresh vegetables and herb, but instead, its pork sausage again, with egg strips and a very thin slice of shrimp. if you are looking fir authentic vietnamese food, i would not...
Read moreWe had a great meal, though with only two of us, we could only try a few dishes—the Haiphong rice in crab roe broth, signature raw beef broth, and handmade cuttlefish cake.
The handmade cuttlefish cake was incredibly fresh and perfectly fried, served piping hot and paired with a delicious sauce that complemented it beautifully.
The beef pho was another standout—it featured a rich beef broth with egg yolk, which, when mixed in, made for an incredibly comforting and flavorful soup. The raw beef in the pho had just the right texture, and we could see why people ordered a bowl each without wanting to share!
We had high expectations for the rice in crab roe broth, but it turned out to be a bit too heavy for our taste. We were hoping for more seafood flavor, but the broth leaned more toward an egg yolk taste instead.
Overall, this meal had great value, with most dishes being either exceptional or well above average* We also noticed many diners ordering pork chop rice and fried spring rolls—definitely something we'd love to...
Read morePeople got great reviews for the place- so I’m visiting with my boyfriend today as I’m a fan of Vietnamese food. The queue wasn’t long, we waited for 15-20 minutes to get a table for 2 on a Sunday.
We ordered P01 & P02 for our mains, two side snacks: a chicken salad + shrimp rice rolls, all are good and well-seasoned with vietnamese flavourings and herbs. Coconut iced latte is nice too.
BUT the brown crab meat Pho has some problems: the meat balls doesn’t taste normal, it’s a bit rancid. We kinda told the staff and their response was to give us new ones, but we’re good with that😂
I’ll say they’re definitely top-tier Vietnamese food in the city with such a fair price and size.
I’m looking forward for improvements on meat balls- coz i saw some reviews stating the...
