My husband and I finally visited this café near Kai Tak Sports Park that we’ve bookmarked forever 😍 It’s been around for 10 years! Thanks to the new MTR line, getting there from Tuen Mun was super convenient. We were excited to try their mains and desserts, and they didn’t disappoint!
Slow Cooked Beef Cheeks Red Wine Jus - $298 This dish is a must-try! The beef cheeks were incredibly tender, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich red wine sauce simmered for over a day. It’s more than just delicious! The sauce was a bit salty, but the overall flavor and texture were outstanding.
Lamb Meet Bolognese Orecchiette - $148 The lamb sauce, seasoned with Xinjiang spices, had a mild kick. The orecchiette was perfectly al dente. Even if lamb isn’t your usual choice, give this a shot 😋 It even includes goat cheese for a salty tang!
Homemade Tiramisu - $68 The custard was silky smooth, with coffee and liqueur blending just right. The ladyfingers still had a slight crunch, served in an adorable duck bowl. Delicious, cute, and totally Instagrammable 📸
Hazelnut Latte $49, Cappuccino $47 With a name like HeySoNuts, you’ve gotta try the hazelnut coffee (just kidding 😂). The latte art was beautiful, and the hazelnut flavor was spot on. The cappuccino was a solid...
Read moreThis cafe has been on my to eat list for a while as it is very popular in this area and has a very good reputation for their light meals and dessert. We came here for dinner tonight and it was full house and also a queue outside. luckily, we are lucky enough to be arranged a table before the queue. The menu was very thoughtful with photographs of food and indeed it is a very interactive menu. we ordered three dishes, salmon with avocado salad, their signature nuts burger and also grilled cheese meatballs with homemade tomato 🍅 sauce. salmon salad first arrived in a lovely presentation! The salmon was slow cooked which was delicious and when confirmed with the avocado, it makes a perfect match which melted in our mouth. meatballs then arrived in a hot condition which cheese 🧀 was melted along with the meatballs. It was the highlight of the night and definitely my favorite! last but not least, the signature burger surprised us which the portion and the ingredients used. It was juicy, tasty and the fries were cooked perfectly. We had a very good experience, the staffs were attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back for their dessert and coffee and brunch next...
Read moreFirstly, location is not very convenient to people who take transportation like mtr or bus especially in extreme hot summer daytime.
For the lunch set menu, I would say the dishes are fine only. We order both spaghetti on the menu, tastes normal and a bit oily. My friend ordered a green tea latte, however we were both surprised by the latte art on top, it’s a heartless heart we would say. I ordered a dirty, the coffee tastes a bit sour and bitter, not really my cup of tea.
Also the waitress who took our order said they were serving cream soup, but end up a pumpkin soup came. The soup or salad you can choose from is not included in the set menu, have to add $18 for that.
The restaurant actually quite small, a little crowded on the weekday afternoon. With the background music and everyone chatting together, I would say it’s not the best place to dine, chat or relax. Also, we were sitting at the table near the kitchen. I can constantly smell very strong oil smoke smell from the kitchen, and made me cough.
For me, I may not visit this...
