Olbye Café — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Went there three times. The portion is huge, the food is decent for not a cheap price. If you order the menu below $100 price tag, they are ok, but made up with large portion. The real jewel here are the more expensive dishes. High grade meat that are easily around $200 for same quality in Causeway Bay, costs just $148. With no service charge, that makes this place a far greater deal than the fancy places in the vicinity like Maritime Square. The environment is ok, Can't expect much when it's besides a public swimming pool. Just watch the elevated bump on the floor just in front of the entrance. It can be quite a trap. The waiters are very nice and helpful. It was an overall very satisfactory experience. I would suggest a better design of that big sign of yours. The location is so secluded hardly anyone would notice there's a place open to public. Add a line like "Pasta and Grills" or something concise, makes it clear that you are not like those swimming pool restaurants that serve only French toast and instant...

Location: the restaurant is hidden between the public swimming pool. But, in fact, it is only a few minutes walk from the Tsing Yi MTR station. You have to pass through the opened gate then to see the low profiled restaurant.

Food: They have sets for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The quality is in general good especially pork loin chop and side dishes. The potato wedge is not recommended. In summer, they will serve iced lemon water which is a point to score consider its price.

Price: around 80 -100 for lunch and 100-150 for dinner per person. No service charge or tips is required.

Rarely found a poolside restaurant like this one. Above average. Usually, they are Hong Kong Cha Chen Teng style cafe. But this one is more Western restaurant and offers western cuisines like lamb chop and pasta. amore in terms of service and environment.
