The atmosphere is superb, very nostalgic. A lot of the decorations there are really rare and precious also well preserved, you could take excellent photos there. The food quality is also great, especially the Pickled Tomato soaked in Plum Wine sauce, very very refreshing and surprisingly crunchy. The Wagyu Set is also pretty good, and the portion is pretty generous, thin slices of Wagyu on top of Japanese rice, the Wagyu is lightly seasoned and there isn't much sauce, therefore the real great taste of Wagyu delivers, the side dishes are also delicious. For drinks, I've got an Iced Bailey's Coffee cocktail, it's a pretty creamy cocktail and if you love Bailey's, you'll love it, however, imo if there's a larger hint of Cinnamon that would be even better. The Owner of the café is very nice and tried his best to assist me with ordering, and he's arranging a small nostalgic museum which is connected to the café, and I'm really looking forward to that. If you're a fan of Nostalgic Hong Kong, with a slight touch of Nostalgic Japan, this is an ideal...

we ordered one meal each for two people with additional of a coffee and an ice cream the waiter was new and had a senior staff together to verify our order twice
half an hour before the first bowl was served. waited another 20mins to be told only one rice set was put through (total 50mins for a rice set that was not taken by staff)
beef bowl was ok, definitely not worth $278 japanese rice was undercooked (? not enough water added)
waiters and waitress were completely unapologetic and inattentive had the audacity to charge me full price of the 2nd coffee and tried to shift the blame onto the customer
had to ask for the bill three times because they still forgot to attend to us
why are they popular? must be paying KOLs with...
Read moreCASH ONLY the ambiance is lovely - we loved the retro cafe feel! The food was good, although it was quite pricey. A lot of people said service was slow - but I thought it was quite quick, actually. It wasn’t very busy when we arrived, though. There is no English menu - and the Chinese menu is very small and difficult to read, even for locals, this is partially due to the dim lighting. With the set menu you can ONLY get coffee or tea - and they didn’t know if any of the teas were caffeine free, so I had to pay full price for a soda. We had problems when it came time to pay because they didn’t tell us when we made the reservation, by any staff, or any clear sign when you came in, or on the menu that it was cash only. We had to run to 7-11 and get cash back as the nearby ATM didn’t work. We took some lovely...
