I wished the barista could indicate what coffee bean choice was used for the coffee. Although the shop looks uniquely interesting, it wasn’t a great experience to taste something not knowing where it’s from especially it is named as a roastery. That’s a 100% of the visit otherwise I won’t walk over only for the visit. I would appreciate more for visiting a coffee place where I know how and where the shop has sourced their beans from, the stories behind and the location of the growers. At least, if it’s not mentioned, it could be listed.
I’m concerned if the beans were actually robusta or arabica. I would never choose the former. There’s some after taste of the latte that I tried. I couldn’t figure out what it is.
The experience wasn’t pleasant. But again the shop was cute. I would have taken the initiative to ask but the barista was more enthusiastic with chatting w her friend, so as a customer, I couldn’t intrude. Mhm… that’s about it :/
Also this is not the “hands down the best coffee in hongkong.” I can name at a dozen on top of mind....

It is a very cozy and retro roastery shop with a touch of old HK local style. Love it.
Enjoy their hand drip coffee, i would say they provide the right amount of variety, not too much but just good enough.
Tried their Honduras Montecillos and Indonesia Java Frina Manis. Both very good and meet expectations. We can enjoy the taste in a good pace there without worrying being kicked out 😄coz not many people there during the Easter holiday week.
I hope to go back again but I am sure during the weekend it must be...
Read moreThis is a surprisingly good little coffee shop along To Kwa Wan Road Coffee shop signage is in Chinese so familiarise yourself before setting off to find this place. Not a lot of good coffee options in this part of Kowloon hence this place is fairly busy during the day. Small indoor seating area as well so be ready for take-away if they are full up when you arrive.
I had a double espresso and found it to be noticeably better than what is typically served in coffee shops in the eastern districts of Kowloon. Rich and flavourful but without the high acidity, overly bitter and citrusy (fruity) flavours - just good high quality espresso. I'd gladly pop in for another cup the next time...
