Huayueting — Restaurant in Shenzhen

We really wanna try this restaurant before COVID but didn't really have a chance until recently. The environment of the restaurant is excellent and table is very spacious. It was about 70% full after we sat for an hour because we went inside very early at around 5:15pm. I think 70% are local Shenzhen people and 30% are HKese.

The food and services are excellent and we bought a 2 person meal coupon from Dianping at $408 RMB and also added another dish because we had 3 people.

The Beijing duck is absolutely delicious and really value for money. Definitely worth a try if you like to eat duck and I think this restaurant deserves a one star Michelin but it isn't. It would be better to have a large group people going then we can order more variety of dishes. We will definitely come again and won't buy the coupon because it restricts the dishes we can order; next time a la cart will be fantastic.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, located on the 4th floor inside (平安金融中心) with flavors that impress and dishes that are well-prepared and satisfying. Highly recommend the Roasted duck is 10/10 ! Given its high ranking in the area, our overall experience fell short of expectations, primarily due to the service. The manager’s attitude was noticeably poor coming across as dismissive and unprofessional which significantly impacted the dining atmosphere. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, we anticipated not only great food but also attentive and courteous service. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food standing in the community. Fine dining restaurant in the Ping-an Financial Centre tower. One of their specialities was Peking duck, roasted in a real fire oven using "fruit-tree" wood, resulting in the duck with a slightly added smoky taste. This is contrary to most restaurants using simply electric ovens. There were also a few very innovative dishes, such as a tofu sandwich !!! Service was impeccable. They use little carved wood duckings as chopsticks stands. My wife was so impressed that she asked if she could take them home.
