Little India — Restaurant in Shenzhen

Top notch restaurant in Futian. Here on a girl's weekend and one of our party wanted Indian food for her birthday dinner. We arrived at 7.30pm, there were a few tables available. We were fairly hungry, ordered quickly and our food was with us in 15 minutes. Highly recommend the Nepalase Saag (#137), Rogan Josh (#77), Murg Mahal Tikka (#65) which were specacular, while the Chicken Pasanda (#68), Chicken Tikka Masala (#73) were also wonderful. I dont think there are any 'wrong' choices on the menu.

The ambience is lovely and authentic, the music not too loud, the portion sizes good and the staff attentive.

Its located in the basement and a really excellent place to visit in Shenzhen for Indian food. They have great variety from dosas, samosas, north Indian, nepali and also some Indianized Chinese. I had butter chicken, naan, dal kichdi, and tandoori chicken during my 3 visits to this place. Everytime the food was delicious and great as good as any five star restaurant in india. The staff is mostly Nepalis and one of the cook was from Jharkhand, India. During my visit it was mostly always packed with all foreigners (British, Chinese and Americans). I have been at that place now for many times. The staff is always great and friendly. They always explain to you the current new special offers and if you ask nicely they even give you offers which might already have expired. Overall the service is great. the food is quite good too and the free appetizer at the beginning of the dish is great. Sometimes you even get free desert with your main dish.
