Magpie Restaurant 喜鹊派餐厅 — Restaurant in Shenzhen

We had an amazing dinner here. The shin of beef was out of this world! So tender. The clams and lamb were also fantastic. I also loved how the owner and head chef came in and told us about everything. Super laid back atmosphere but very attentive staff with great sense of humour (one of the waiters ran in put a dish down and yelled "fish"... It was very funny).

I have been recommending to people since we got back to hk.

What also blew me away (having been in HK for along time) was that it cost $400 including all our drinks!

Magpie is an amazing find in this area, well worth the trip from downtown, or if you are staying at the Intercontinental nearby. Run by hip, young people with Chinese and Western fusion in their mindset and menu. Unique events such as guest chefs are a mainstay; the staff makes you immediately feel like an old friend.
