City Inn Oct Loft — Hotel in Shenzhen

The hotel name is actually City Inn OCT Loft in English.||||Spent 2 nights mid Sept. Normally stay in Holiday Inn Express in Lowu but want to go at a more relaxing pace because I have more than 1 day.||||It is located very close to Chuangyiyuan (an area which focus on creative industries), it takes around 10-15 mins to walk from East of Overseas Chinese Town station. A quiet area perfect for a getaway from the hectic downtown||||Service is good for a 2 stars hotel, they got all my requests done promptly and friendly (including fixing the non-working aircon in an hour), which is not bad at all for a 2 stars property||||Room is very nicely decorated but on the small side, we have one of the ten special rooms decorated by local artists, which looks very chic and cool. Did not have too much in terms of in room amenities but are more than adequate. In room broadband is FOC but very slow for serious usage||||Cleanliness is very good overall, no complain in this department||||At RMB 385 per night, it is already one of the more expensive room for the hotel, a normal Deluxe room cost RMB 325, same size, only minus the special decoration by artists. At this rate it is quite good value, especially when you compare to foreign run hotels||||Will...

Stayed in Feb 2019. booked this hotel due to its outlook and relative location for us. The hotel has fulfilled that and nothing more. It has a photogenic lobby has large bay windows overlooking a street lined with trees. It is especially beautiful at night. The room itself was very standard. The bed was in the middle of the room and backed by a raised table. There was no power outlet close by for charging overnight. Beauty overrides practicality. The hygiene was so-so. Unless you intend to travel in the nearby districts, this is not a convenient hotel out of metro reach.
