🍽: Dim Sum 📍: G27, Tsuen Wan Luk Yeung Galleria22-66 Wai Tsuen Rd, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong
First and foremost, the location is comfortable. Upon stepping inside, I was struck by the grandeur of the interior. It resembled a palace, with an air of sophistication. While it's true that Maxim's Palace may not be the most budget-friendly option out there, the ambiance is worth the visit.
Speaking of which, the food at Maxim's Palace is certainly commendable. While it may not blow you away, it certainly doesn't disappoint. The menu boasts a good selection of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences.
One of the most intriguing aspects of Maxim's Palace is the innovative addition of water pots placed beside every table that auto boils and auto refills. Not only does this add a unique touch to the dining experience, but it also ensures that guests never have to worry about their glasses running dry. It's a small detail, but one that truly enhances the overall dining experience.
In summary, Maxim's Palace offers a comfortable dining experience with a good selection of dishes to choose from. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the food and the ambiance makes up for it. And let's not forget the delightful addition of the water pots, adding an extra layer of convenience and charm to...
Read moreDim sum was excellent and portions were as expected. I enjoyed the scallop Cheung fun which was unique. My sister and I have a nut allergy so we also ordered the plain Cheung fun, forgetting that they would squeeze the sesame sauce all over the top. We reordered and asked them not to squeeze it all over the top, but they misunderstood and squeezed it into the corner, still touching some Cheung fun. Finally we reordered and asked them to just put the sauce on the side (third time's the charm!). The server who we pestered was very patient and even though she wasn't the order-taker, she still took the order back to the kitchen and got us our Cheung fun.
They also have a self serve hot water dispenser at your table but at the time we didn't understand how it worked so we didn't use it to its...
Read moreI hate this shop. It’s so bad, everything takes so long and it’s so noisy. It’s so overrated and please do not come to the restaurant. It’s not worth it and not worth your time either. Food is so inefficient, on average, I have to wait at least 15-30 minutes for a dish, and now in Chinese New Year, I have waited for 1 hour! Not to mention, they add tons of msg to their food, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FINE, I DON’T MIND AS AN ASIAN CUZ IT’S MY DAILY LIFE, but really the food doesn’t taste good either. At most 3/10. Every single time I have a meal here, I have to eat sweet desserts (which I don’t usually do) and drink tons of water right afterwards, which shouldn’t be seen in this restaurant that is well known all around Hong Kong....
