One of 3 famous Yuen Long "wife cakes" shops-- Tai Tung 大同, Hang Heung 恆香, Wing Wah 榮華. Each has its own fans. I've tried them all many times, honestly not addicted to any. Just eat them when the mood strikes. Prices been creeping up over the years like everything else. This visit had their black sesame seed wife cake $9.50. It was good and not cloyingly sweet, the way I like it.

We prefer this signature wife cake than the other famous bakery. On our last day in Hong Kong, we always go to Tai Tung bakery and get a dozen boxes of mixed and ordinary wife cakes to gift as souvenirs to family and friends. The wife cake filling is a bit like mochi texture which I like it better than the very sweet filling from other bakery.

My number one white lotus paste w salted egg moon cake purveyor. Traditional, wholesome and delicious。Other goodies like old wives cake or thousand year old egg pastry are also sold here. No particular recommendation for them but ok
