The notorious and consistently long line waiting outside this open-concept mall restaurant should speak for itself, but if you need more convincing... The menu is extensive and EVERYTHING looks good. You can choose from a plethora of savory editions of crepes, waffles (hence the name), or even bread bowls. The flavors blend beautifully and tastes fresh. Mmmm! The drink menu offers a wide variety of fruity drinks that have a character of its own. Service is great! More than that, Crepes & Waffles has a mission to employ people who may normally have difficulty finding a job that accommodate external circumstances, such as single moms who need specific days off to care for their children. This just puts a great restaurant over-the-top for me. (And side note: when given the option to tip, please do!) Oh and DESSERT. Soy vegetariana, y las opciones que pedí con mi pareja tenían un nivel de picante que no se ajustaba a mis expectativas. Aunque disfruto de probar nuevos sabores, esperaba que los platos no fueran picantes, especialmente porque en la carta no se mencionaba que lo fueran, ni siquiera en un nivel ligero. Esto generó un pequeño problema, ya que no pude disfrutar por completo de la comida debido a esa intensidad. En cuanto al sabor, aunque interesante, creo que el equilibrio podría mejorarse para que el picante no domine tanto y permita apreciar mejor los otros ingredientes del plato. La experiencia general fue buena, pero sería ideal que en el menú se especificara si algún platillo tiene picante, así los clientes pueden decidir con mayor claridad. Por lo demás, la atención y el ambiente estuvieron bien, aunque me quedé con ganas de explorar más opciones vegetarianas que no dependan tanto de sabores intensos como este.

En cuanto a los postres, tengo sentimientos encontrados. Aunque disfruto mucho de las combinaciones que ofrecen, creo que utilizan un exceso de crema chantilly, lo cual puede resultar un poco pesado para algunos. Personalmente, preferiría que balancearan mejor las porciones de este elemento para que no opacara otros sabores que son realmente interesantes.
